Hi Everybody!
Just thought I start a fourm about my favorite T.V. Show which of course is Weather Center with Abrams and Bettes :dance: :clap: So feel free to talk about the show at your hearts desire!!

At least I can FINALLY talk about A&B's funniest week ever. I've been recording every single show (EE at 5:00 my time for me is considered A&B) this week. I can't say which show was my favorite...yet, because ever since monday I've been laughing myself off the bed. :P (And BTW this one dude is requesting me to post the vids on youtube but I'm waiting for my prima to get my recorder back!!!
Yes you can say I am also a DIE-HARD A&B fan, just like you, Autumn.

I did, too. I was gone since 3 and got home until...NOW. I didn't get a chance to record today. But at least I got Monday-Thursday. I already chose my favorite episode of the week. I like Tuesday's episode. It was so funny!!!

Yeah, the Planner this hour was hilarious; Steph kept antagonizing Mike about Obama, leading him to swipe his papers off the desk and walk away. When he came back, he picked up another stack of papers and ripped them up!

Just a little reminder for those who don't know...
Stephanie will be at Punxatawney, PA (can someone give me the right spelling??) for Groundhog Day. Also, she might be tracking the MEGASTORM that is heading in the northeast.
Mike might return on Monday as well (don't trust me on that one.)

For those who missed last night's show, it was pretty awesome. Especially when I got to record my first video. I got the part when Stephanie was showing some "puppy love" to a weather warrior picture of a Border Collie that's twice her size!

She is a great OCM and personality but TWC has worked on that to create some kind of weather talk show. Its something different and I have thoughts for and against it. If only TWC put as much effort into the other shows and OCMS as they do A&B.

Today was pretty awesome. Somehow unexpectedly A&B turned into a zoo!!
(Well, kinda) Some of the animals visited the studio (of course, from Sea World Busch Gardens, I know it's not the one in San Diego) They showed Penguins, Chinchillas, an owl, turtles and so many more! It was so awesome that A&B actually let those animals in! (BTW no animals were harmed during the show---Steph :P)

this is the last 8pm EE with A&B. Tonight is also the last 2 hour weekday EE at 10-12pm. It goes to 1 hour next week.

I hope they only run one nightly segment per hour; that would keep things more fresh and not bombard the show with special segments eating away at all the weather coverage.

I love the A&B music! It's recorded on my computer, on my cellphone (Autumn has the song as her ringtone) it's even my voicemail greeting!!! :P

Yeah, I think there will be a new opener. Steph and Mike will be on at 7 to 10 eastern and they used partially the BTF opener. Paul and Alexandra is on at 10-? and I'm thinking they will have a new opener at that time.

I think it's cool, and might I add that I enjoy, that TWC is utilizing the music from A&B, as well as the basic graphical design of the new Weather Center but does anybody think they will 'burn' faster, or become old news, since they will be using them all night instead of having various graphics for each respective show?

It's actually all one show. They used themes for other shows for 2-3 years each... I don't expect to see new show music/graphics packages anytime before 2010

Nope, just Mike. The race will take place in Atlanta, though on Saturday. Stephanie, however, she will be in the studio, and Carl Edwards will visit the A&B-WC studio. :)

I do get pretty excited about the weather...and then when graphic design is incorporated into weather...that makes it one of the most amazing things! Of course, A&B make all of the aforementioned things all the better...especially because of Stephanie Abrams. It's all good!

Well, we all know that Mike is having a busy week. Yesterday he was live at Lake Tahoe, CA for the start of Why I Love Spring Week. Today he has the day off. Wednesday he will come back live, this time to Sedona AZ. Thursday he has off again and on Friday, according to Steph, he will fill in for Al Roker on the Today Show. Well yesterday was the last time she will stay in the bahamas. Green Is Universal starts next week, and I believe Stephanie might be live from Rock Port, MO, on Monday. where the whole town is run with 100% wind power. I'll keep you updated. Mike's turn will be on Wednesday to be out on the field.

Well, A&B debuted a new segment today. It's called NOW YOU KNOW. They show a city (like today they showed Fairbanks, AK) and they show the WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, WHY and HOW. I never knew that today, Fairbanks was warmer that us in the lower 48! O_o

Yes, it is still Your Weather Today with Abrams and Bettes. My guide still calls it that as well.

There seems to be a lot of substitutions lately for the morning shows. I would have thought that WUWA and YWT would have more stable OCM schedules given how important the mornings are for weather coverage. :thinking:

I think they need to get rid of Al Roker and make it Wake Up with Weather with Mike 'n Stephanie right into YWT so they don't have to waste viewers' time with a poor excuse for a weather person and not to mention the taped replay later that morning to further confuse viewers because weather info is shown that's 3+ hours old. Laaaaame.

That's what happens when you become a popular meteorologist by the ratings. You get asked to do more and more as they want you in additional segments and long-form programs.

I think she enjoys it personally. Jim Cantore and Stephanie Abrams are now TWCs "popular" mets. They work them crazy and send them all over the place

Jim Cantore has been a leading OCM for many years and Stephanie Abrams has the looks, the talent, and the personality. Why not include Mike Bettes? He's a field reporter, is on YWT, and he worked on Vortex 2.
