What happened to the following OCM/Personalities? They were long-time on-camera meteorologists, all but 1 have been on the air for more than ten years. Three of them had been employed by the network for more than twenty years.
Kristina Abernathy
Eboni Deon
Kristin Dodd
Rich Johnson
Cheryl Lemke
Mark Mancuso
Dave Schwartz
Bill Keneely
Nicole Mitchell
I read on Wikipedia there were all fired between November 2008 through February 2009 except for Bill Keneely and Nicole Mitchell who were fired on July, 2010 and December 2010 respectfully and I see no sources given to state why there were fired, so does anyone know why they have been fired?

FYI, you can do a quick search on pretty much most of these names and find a reason as to why they were fired.

They weren't technically fired, they were laid off. As for the reason - from what I understand - it was money. They laid off all these longtime - "higher-paid" OCMs to cut costs. The initial layoffs also followed the NBCs acquisition of TWC, so I'm sure that had something to do with it as well.
As for Nicole Mitchell, read the thread Trevor linked to.
BTW Trevor, I know you were just trying to help, but I found that the tone of your post, particularly the last sentence, came off as a little condescending. Please try to be respectful, especially towards a new member. B)

Oops should have done that and I figured Nicole Mitchell would sue as she was in the military and was fired because she was a captain USAFR and flies as a weather officer on board "Hurricane Hunter" aircraft and apparently her Reserve duties inconvenienced the new owners of the network. I say they deserve to be sued!
Stephen: In my opinion the new owners had enough money to pay those "higher-paid" OCMs as they have been there a long time, but simply choose not too and lay them off and use their own people who get paid less and fill their rich little pockets with money and you may be right that NBCs acquisition of TWC had something to do with it and I'm sure that is the case.

She probably won't be there too long I'm thinking. They hired yet another new OCM at that station last month. <_<
