I didn't see a topic, but Scott Williams landed a job as Chief Meteorologist at WTXF in Philadelphia, effective immediately.

Edit: I was going through some old post and it looks like his 3rd year with TWC was just a few days ago on the 14th. Best of Luck to him!

That's great to hear, but it seems kinda weird that TWC didn't have any problems with this station signing him on immediately unless his contract was going to expire soon with them anyway. I'm sure the news director is very happy since it said he tried to nab Scott 3 years ago before TWC did.

Besides Dr. Knabb's Announcement that he is leaving TWC, Scott Williams is also leaving the channel for WTXF.

We've already got a topic on this here (https://twctodayforums.com/forums/ocms/scott-williams-departs-twc/). ;) Maybe mods can merge these two because both contain useful information.
Anyway, this is interesting to hear, but I hope Scott enjoys his new job!

Not to be rude, but how come noone bothers to look right below the last replied topic? The one about Scott Williams leaving was right under Dr. Knabb. :P

The topics on this subject have been merged. Please try to do a search to see if someone else already has a topic in place before creating one. It doesn't take that long to look.

Good for Scott.
TWC has no issues with it because he's going to Philly and not staying in Atlanta, where a non-compete clause may kick in.

I wasn't even aware John Bolaris wasn't with WTXF anymore, shows how much I watch Fox29 News.... At any rate, I look forward to seeing Scott.

Explain what you mean by "non-compete clause," as that is quite an ambiguous term, since TWC has never had any problems with their meteorologists going to other stations for chief meteorology positions....
