That's pretty pathetic that they would complain about her military service "getting in the way." Then again, this is NBC, who owns MSNBC, which is a liberal network, of whom generally hate our military, who were in a movie with Kevin Bacon. :P
I totally agree with Matt on this one. BTW, sorry for the double post.

She didn't mentioned anything about this being her last segment at TWC. Jodi Saeland still wins the departing sign-off of a leaving OCM.

How did she sign off, always was a Saeland fan.

You mean the sign-off for Jodi Saeland. It was a long time ago, but in general it went something like this. Toward the end of her last segment, a cameraman put up a placard saying something like, "we will miss you". After noticing it from the monitor, she couldn't get any words out so TWC went dark for those ending minutes.

well TWC has gotten rid of some of the best, as well as hired some of the best. Brian Norcross was hired he would make a much better hurricane expert than Dr Knabb. They got rid of Nicole. Who knows who her replacement will be! Mark Mancuso,Sharon Resultan,Kristina Abernathy, Alexandra Steele,Dave Schwartz, Cheryl Lemke,Kevin Robinson, ETC, One of the best hurricane experts Dr Steve Lyons he left because i guess he was afraid he was next on the cut list! I wander how long it will be before Dr Greg Forbes announces his cut or departure?!! I have about had enough of the weather channel myself. I only watch it now if i know that bad weather may hit my area or a hurricane is making landfall in the us. Not even that coverage is the same since NBC bought them. Please dont anyone get mad at me for saying this but with the hurricane coverage when Storm Alert was announced in 2002 i think TWC got better through 2005 then started to fall in 2006. NBC bought them in 2010 i think? Someone correct me if im wrong but basically my point is none of the coverage is the same anymore. I wander how they will handle hurricane coverage in 2011? My guess show regular programing , LOL at this but i see (Hurricane what ever) is a cat 5 going to hit Louisiana stay tuned for the latest as it is about 8 hours from landfall...Storm stories is next lol  :rofl2:

I don't think they will get rid of Dr. Forbes, since he gives the details we need and does it very professionally. No to mention his degree(s) and work with Dr. Fujita. Kevin Robinson left on his own choice to take the position of Chief Meteorologist in Cincinnati.  Its just a shame of what the have done with the good OCMs.

Although Keven left on his own, he could see the writing on the wall in that TWC kept using him less and less. Has there been any OCM who got removed from a prime spot to do mostly fill-ins, then return to another prime spot later. Maybe Heather Tesch or Carl Parker might be in that category, but not sure.

I hate how they treated him with his on air work. He probably is being more successful at his new job. I saw him on an interview a month or so ago talking about the first snow storm of the season in Cincinnati.  They have done the same thing to people like Mike Sidel and Jeff Morrow.

NBC bought twc in July 6, 2008, imo TWC started to fall 8 months after NBC bought twc (for live broadcast)

Heather, no. She started as Marshall Seese's partner on Weather Center AM before YWT premiered in 2000.

Just saw Nicole  on DP doing just a cut-in for the "On the radar" segment, she wasn't on the full show.
