Is this the same Bryan Norcross who did nonstop hurricane weather coverage of Hurricane Andrew from his station's studio basement? If so I think he would make a great addition to TWC as a hurricane specialist.
I remember he would be featured quite often when hurricanes approached Miami.  I always thought he was cool.  It'll be nice to see him on TWC.

Bryan was at WTVJ (then on Ch. 4) in Miami from 1990-96, then went to CBS-owned WFOR in '96 and stayed there until a few years ago.. He was on the CBS Evening News when hurricanes threatened the U.S.

It's been about a year since Mr. Norcross has been at TWC and I can honestly say that after a year of getting used to him, I don't like him. I tend to overanaylze things, but it seemed like he was annoyed about having to come into work to talk about Irene yesterday. On the other hand, I do like Dr. Rick Knabb, he and Carl work well together and provided some important information on the storm that usually gets brushed over.

Is it just me, or is anyone else having (or have had) a hard time listening to Bryan Norcross?  I feel like when he is with another OCM (i.e. Cantore or Parker) he interrupts them or tries to "take the stage."  Maybe I am critical, but I am not a fan.  He seems to stumble a lot as well.  Like I said, maybe I am being just a bit critical.

In his defense pertaining to the interruptions, I've seen Jim and Chris do the same thing to Dr. Postel a couple of times also. Maybe the producers tell them to do that, you know stop and ask questions that viewers watching probably would ask eventhough the questions they ask are questions that would have been answered had they not of been interrupted in the first place. <_<

In outbreaks of severe weather or tropical weather, I've noticed that Jim tends to interrupt whoever's talking (usually Dr. Greg Forbes or Dr. Postel) to ask questions that I would assume the general public wants to know.  It bothers me a little, but perhaps with so little time (and I KNOW this shouldn't be the case, but even during outbreaks TWC has to fit in a commercial break every 5-10 minutes, don't they? <_<) and with the expert talking nonstop to try to cover everything, they have to do it.

This might be old news to some, in a preview of the special on naming winter storms I noticed Byran had a new title Director of Weather Presentation and found out more on his press room bio page,

"In January of 2011, Bryan added the responsibilities of Director of Weather Presentation. He is working with management at The Weather Channel as technical and operational systems are upgraded using the latest weather presentation and forecasting technology."
