Very sad story indeed.

The Weather Channel released this statement earlier:

Thoughts and prayers are with those that are affected.

Oh boy...

So, the last time I caught a livestream of severe weather coverage, I kept thinking to myself, when they were on the phone with Williamson, that I was just thinking "Can't these guys stop milking this guy to death and actually give better storm chasers the time of day"?

Well...this isn't how I wanted that to happen...

I now find my thoughts so damn terribly ironic considering how eerily close this was to finding out he was killed in a car crash.

Very sad indeed. My dad always got excited like "Oh boy! Kelley Williamson's out!". Unfortunately, that won't happen any more. Will miss him indeed.

I watched Kelley on TWC and Severe Studios a lot, I didn't hear of his death until the next morning.  :cry3:

He was on air at TWC not to long ago.
This is sad.  I even remember a playing of one of the episodes where he and his driver stopped at a convenience store where they made fresh fried chicken.  It kind of made me think about how cool traveling like that really is.  It's a shame that he's gone.
