Considering how hard he has worked over the past year with all the severe weather, he deserved this recognition.  Someone else has to help out Dr. Forbes as he can't do it all.  Carl Parker should be able to handle this job quite well.

If Dr. Forbes was getting overwhelmed, I'm sure all he'd have to do is tell management. They know he is at age and would give him time off. I'm sure he's working hard b/c he knows they depend on him so much, after all he is doing the career he loves. I'm was a little angry the other day when I heard him give an update, he sounded so tired, exhausted, and just worn down.

Yeah - it seems like he can't get a break at any time, since there's always the potential of some severe weather somewhere!

Did you know... the United States is the only industrialized country that doesn't mandate any vacation time at all?  In Europe, you get a minimum of four weeks a year, period.  And Europeans actually enjoy their vacations more, while Americans tend to think about how much work that's piling up for them to return to.

Carl returned to Day Planner for July 12th working with Heather so I guess he might still do a few OCM shifts a month.
