That doesn't mean anything at all. They rarely update the bio pages on weather.com. There have been instanced where OCMs have left and their bio pages were still on the server months later.
Sometimes years too. For example, Rick Griffin and Marny Stanier's profiles were still on weather.com's server until the old television page became a redirect to the new weather.com/tv site in early 2009 (they both left in 2003).

So basically every time TWC hires a new on air meteorologist, we can expect to see someone get bounced....

I asked someone familiar with the issue today: "Sorry, but I can't confirm or deny that. It's policy not to discuss personnel matters."

I don't know about you folks, but I'll take that as a confirmation. Steele has officially been let go.

Definately. Steele hasn't been on-air in about a month.

That really doesn't mean anything. She could be ill. She could have a lot of vacation days. But the fact that my source just won't discuss the matter says to me that she was definitely let go.

Her bio is still on the website too... http://www.weather.com/tv/personalities/Alexandra-Steele.html

Oh I know that. I was just posting as a general comment, since I've seen some OCM's bios disappear sooner than others.

Love it. Great prose and great song choice, the folks at NBC obviously has "no regrets" of letting her go.

Thank you, bro.
And, you notice the first picture is flipped around the opposite way.

Also, NBC needs serious help.

agreed, sis, but as stated before it is a business decision. Sometimes it's just the way the industry works. I just wonder what Alex is doing now..

I know it's a business issue, but they need to reconsider because NBC is a gigantic company with a lot of employees and stuff like that.
And, I bet Alex is just sitting back at home trying to find another job or taking care of that little precious daugther she has.

I am truly sad that Alexandra Steele was let go.  I don't watch the weather center anymore. She was awesome and the best weather person they had! The very best.  I cannot understand why.  The new people they have are not good at all. I can't understand why they do these things.  I wonder how many other viewers they have lost.....  What a bad move on their part.

I'm really sad that TWC has "let her go" Alex was one of my favorite OCMS on the network. She always worked great with her co anchors and could always bring a smile to your face. I don't see why they pretty much had to replace her with some new young chick! I mean seriously!! So long farewell to the good days of Weather Center.  This is just another  :censored: up by NBC...among many.  The network has really gone downhill since NBC took over.  I just hope it doesn't get worse! I can tell you this....if they let go of Tesch, Bettes, Abrams, Parker, Goodloe, or Berg....I'm through!

They're definetely not going to let go of Abrams, Bettes, or Berg, so you don't have to worry about that. ;) I certainly hope the others stay for awhile too.

You mean "wrongful termination"?  Yeah, companies can be held responsible.
There has to be a valid reason.
