I guess we don't have a topic just for him here yet, so here we go.
Tonight shows why I like Adam Berg; tonight he introduced the MLB Opening Day forecasts by saying, "Grab your Human Growth Hormone and your pine tar; it's time for Opening Day!"
-
Yeah, I like Adam, too
-
Adam Berg is cool. I like the him and Betty Davis paired up.
-
yeah, me too
-
adam seems like a laid back kinda guy. he's pretty cool. :sunglasses:
-
I wasn't very keen on him at first, but the more I watch him the more I like him. :sunglasses:
-
I hope he doesn't wind up hitting it big like Mike Bettes to the point that TWC starts promoting him incessantly. I'd rather like an OCM for myself rather than be told to like them.
-
It's time to play "Let's quote Adam out of context!"
Adam: Grapefruits were falling from the sky. It's true.
And for a little bonus...
Adam: The Great Lakes are looking delicious on Monday.
-
I remember him saying that
-
You know, if we made a drinking game for every time Adam says "everybody", "gang", or "you guys", we'd already be drunk after only an hour and a half of A&B. A couple times tonight, he even said stuff like, "All right, everybody, check this radar out here, gang."

that's personality. and i like it. i'm not sure if you're saying your against or in favor of it. but i love OCMs that bring their personality on air.
-
I'm for it. :P
Adam's got a good future there at TWC as long as TWC doesn't get rid of him the way they get rid of other good OCMs.
-
My favorite quote happened on a Weekly Planner a couple of weeks back.
"On Monday, for those of you going back to work, I'll be sleeping in, don't call me."
-

It seems that on every Sunday night he mentions that he has off Mondays. :P

I noticed that. He must love it. :P

Nah, he just loves to rub it in everyone's face. :P
-
I think he works 6 days a week. Isn't it that most weekday OCM's have the weekend off and ones who work in the weekend do not work Mon-Fri?
-
Adam works 5 days: Wed-Sun
All weekend OCMs work either Wed-Sun or Sat-Wed.
-
Is this a new tie for Adam tonight? I don't believe I've ever seen this one before.
-
Adam works 5 days: Wed-Sun

Even Ray Stagich, Mark Mancuso, and Alex Wallace? I thought they only work part-time.

Right, I just meant the full-time ones.

They may be a part time OCM, but they may (MAY) work behind the scenes during the times they aren't on.
-
I think Ray Stagich and Alex Wallace are on the radio side as well.
-
I know Ray is (his profile is on the radio personalities page) but I'm not sure about Alex.
-
LOL, as coincedence would have it I was sure Alex was, but not sure about Ray. :P
-
LOL @ Adam during the last Tropical Update today:
"Look at that guy! That's actually Bertha!"
Perhaps Bertha had a sex change?
-
I believe Adam called a tornado "cute" yesterday saying "The tornado caught on tape was beautiful, but some of them aren't always cute" (or something along the lines of that)
-
Perhaps Bertha had a sex change?
No, that was Arthur. :P
-
Well, it looks like the gang leader may have used his days off to go shopping; tonight he's wearing a suit and tie that I've never seen before.
-
So, things are really going to cool off Chooseday into Wednesday. :P
-
The late night is starting to wear off on Adam; he's losing the put-on serious tone of Storm Alert and starting to talk about college football.
-
Adam just did a recap of the region-by-region forecast at the end of the 2:30 CT segment "for all you guys out there". He managed to say "Chooseday" four times in a matter of 45 seconds, and at the end of the segment, he really started to loosen up from the serious tone of the night when he told the Northeast, "Your Chooseday is lookin' absolutely delicious...you might even want to extend that holiday vacation another day here, right Kristin?"
-
Apparently Adam has a little brother (I'm guessing) named Josh. Last night during the 1:20 AM ET Weekly Planner, Adam mentioned:
"Beautiful weather through Fresno where little Josh Berg is hanging out."
-
What the... :hmm:

I'd be more inclined to first think its his son. He seems a bit too old to have a younger brother. Talk about a generation gap.
-
Given Adam's young age and the location of his son, I wouldn't expect Adam to have a son. "Little" doesn't necessarily mean a kid. I'm thinking along the lines of a "little" brother.

Yeah. I'd guess Adam isn't any older than 30 or so. He could have a younger brother that is maybe 15 or 20.

How young do you think Adam is? late 20's/early 30's is by NO means too young to have a child.
-
I'm just staying, given the lifestyle of himself that he describes makes him seems as if he's still single and without a woman in his life; We obviously can't say for sure, but he certainly seems to portray himself that way.
-
True. I guess when it comes right down to it, Josh Berg could be anything-son, brother, nephew, cousin. Hard to say which it is with much certainty.
-
So, things are really going to cool off Chooseday into Wednesday. :P
God, I HATE that about him :footinmouth:
-
Sharon: Now let's get to Adam; he has more on Hanna.
Adam: Yeah, let's DIVE in a little deeper now.
It's like a combination of gimmicks!
-
Sharon: Now let's get to Adam; he has more on Hanna.
Adam: Yeah, let's DIVE in a little deeper now.
It's like a combination of gimmicks!
That was a classic moment if I've ever seen one.
-
XD @ Adam
"Mike Seidel was a little excited about getting to that Weekly Planner there. We'll get there, son. Put some meat on those bones, too."
-
Just now...
"Let's go ahead and DIVE into as many of these systems as we can get to in the allotted time."
-
For the first time in the last two weeks of tropical coverage, Adam finally said "gang" again!
-
Sounds like he might have a little cold
-
I predicted that one. It's something that you pretty much know; when Adam's doing a radar update, and there's precip on the map...
"OK, let's go ahead and DIVE into this one."
-
12:20 AM
"Okay gang, time for the Weekly Planner!"
-
Yay, finally a short reprieve from the tropics; Adam can say "gang" every ten sentences again!
-
Just now as they were having issues with the Hurricane Hunters Google Earth graphic...
"Let's see if we can whip that up quickly before I DIVE into a few more graphics."
-
We're DIVING into the flooding right now, everybody.
-
It's so nice to have the tropics quiet again; for the first time in weeks, Adam was finally able to say, "Oh man, highs only in the 70s? That is good sleeping weather, everybody, while you're headed out to work on Chooseday, I'll be sleepin' in!"
-
What in the world?
-
What's the matter, gang?
-
What in the world?
Such a useful post.

Wow, so's yours!

Not really. Dozens of her posts say only "What in the World" around here.

What does that have to do with the usefulness of your post?
And for the record, I've never seen any other such post.
-
Well here's one:
https://twctodayforums.com/forums/index.php/topic,1377.msg62826.html#msg62826
A found other "useless" ones too but not necessarily containing the phrase "What in the world"

If I would've found a problem with that post, don't you think I would've said something?
-
Everyone, just to note, I always say that.
So, you'll have to excuse me.
-
We are expecting 33 feet by Chooseday!
-
Tell me about it! 33 feet on Tuesday? That's ridiculous!
On a side note, it seems that Adam is starting to use "ridiculous" as a buzz word as well. They just keep piling up, don't they, gang?
-
Paul and Alexandra have the night off, let's dive into it, though.
-
"Welcome to Evening Edition; I'm Adam Berg; Paul and Alexandra have the night off, so let's DIVE right into it, though, and see what's goin' on!" :P
-

Yeah, I was going to post the whole thing but couldn't remember it, so I just DOVE into the Paul and Alexandra part and posted just that. :P

That's Chooseday. Gotta use Adam's inflection. :P :rofl2:
-
At 10:20 PM ET:
"Welcome back all the planners out there!"
-
"Welcome back, all you Planners out there!"
-
Chooseday's forecast will be coming up in a moment! :P

You know, I actually meant to, but I typed "Tuesday" subconsciously and didn't even realize it. >_<
-
Adam's pimpin' that Chooseday forecast again! Also, there are still one or choo more days of rising rivers, so watch out, everybody.
-
At school today, my math teacher actually said "let's jump right in there" during class today. Of course, it's not exactly the same as "DIVING" right in there, but I suppose it's close enough. :P
She's also said some various "let's do that" phrases in the past few weeks as well. Coincidence? :ninja:
-

Sounds like your teacher might be a TWC viewer. :D
-
My history teacher said "gang" one time last week. :P
-
Heck, last week, my philosophy professor thought out loud about how to set up inter-class discussion groups, and his final decision was, "Ok, let's do that. Let's split up into three gangs."
I'm dead serious.
-
Top of this hour:
"Hello, gang, welcome to Evening Edition; we're glad to have you with us. I am Adam Berg. *turns to Sharon* You are Sharon Resultan, and this is the last weekend of summer!"
-
Top of this hour:

LOL, thank you Adam for that tidbit of information. :P :rofl2:
-
"We've got some stormy weather over the Rockies, but let's DIVE into Seattle, though."
-
At the end of regular EE tonight, Adam and Kristin had some fun joking about Adam's "thumb muscles" and how Adam is a certified expert at being lazy in the afternoon watching football, so at least they had some fun with that again.
Now that the gang show seems to be limited to only EE now with Carl and Kristina handling both hours of PME, I guess that leaves Adam more time in the afternoon to be lazy and watch some football; sweet deal for him! (though maybe not so much for us) :P
-
Is that a new tie for Adam? Is it a coincidence that Kristin is also wearing the same color? (orange)
-
Adam just managed to say "Chooseday" about seven or eight times in the last minute. Mind = boggled
-
When the Tropical Update started, Adam realized that it was still :49, so he said, "It's ROUGHLY :50 past the hour, and it's time for the Tropical Update." Nice technicality there, Adam!
Now we just DIVED into the tropical wave, and now Adam is speculating on what would happen if it were to DIVE a little to the south. Now we just DIVED into the Western Pacific.
-
"Kristin, gang at home..."
-
Is it just me, or did I just hear Bill Keneely say, "...but wither way, gang, we're going to be seeing some pretty good weather."
-
Is it just me, or did I just hear Bill Keneely say, "...but wither way, gang, we're going to be seeing some pretty good weather."
Sounds like something he might say. :P :D
-
ha, now thats interesting. I could probably picture Bill saying that.
The other day though Adam had yet another interesting comment it was something along the lines of " You're on your way home. Still stuffed up with all that food. That'll make you wanna get horizontal in a minute. Sharon is laughing at me now." :rofl2: I can't believe he said that, then again, I can.

That's our Adam! :P
-
That is soooo funny!!! :rofl2:
-
Is this guy a sports fanatic? Each of the two times I saw him on the overnight EE he had sports as a big element. The first time, he hyped up a bowl game; the second, the goalpost knock-over in Buffalo was the first story on o/EE.
-
Yeah, he's pretty much obsessed with sports; he said if he weren't a meteorologist, SportsCenter anchor would definitely be his second choice.
-
OMG this doesn't surprise me but Adam said "gang" twice in one hour. WOW
-
OMG this doesn't surprise me but Adam said "gang" twice in one hour. WOW
Yep, thats one of his signature catchphrases.
-
The part I like Adam the most is when he combines sports and weather in one whole hour...that is whenever a huge sports event such as the Super Bowl is coming up. :)
-
Well we all know how Adam like's to use the word "gang" a lot. Well last night my karate instructor kept using it  over and over again, and it constantly reminded me of Adam. :rofl2:
-
For example, "Ok, gang. Let's kick it, gang. Hi-ya!!, gang."
-
So I was randomly googling quotes from my favorite rockstars, actors and people who I woud consider "awesome". I googled the awesome Adam Berg's name expecting to find nothing (I haven't found much on him in the past). And I ran across this rock'in website.
I read that there was talk of a "Josh Berg" in past discussions. A few months back, I wanna say in December, Adam was talking about football (of course) and he had mentioned something about his younger brother Josh Berg liking a certain college football team.
Since I am on the topic of the Berg family, did you guys hear that he has a sister too? I was watching on New Years eve or around that time and Adam had mentioned he would like to spend New Years relaxed and at home, but his sister will want him to come over. Something along those lines. He didn't mention her name though...
Hooray for Adam Berg!
-
Adam has a bro and a sis? I wonder if he's the middle child?
Anyways, Adam is considered AWESOME...even though it has been a long time since I seen him (or maybe my weekend away was so long??)
-
It sure seems that Adam loves to pose.... Steve can respond to this statement with the forecast stills he has captured, but I just love it! lol

Nice pose, Adam. :bleh:

I think Kelly said Adam is off again tomorrow. Geeze, he hasn't been on more than two days in a row since leaving A&B WC three weeks ago.

According to Kelly at the end of DP, he WILL be on tomorrow for early PME Weekend.
-
After a WUWA promo showed at 1:50 AM: "I might be dozing off to Al in a few hours." And then during the next segment, while showing some daypart forecasts for major cities, he said someting to the tune of "I'll still be sleeping. Well, maybe I shouldn't say that, I might make some people mad here."
I guess we know Adam isn't working any early shows tomorrow. :P
Also, before WWCH started at 2 AM ET, Adam did a 60-second forecast segment. He probably wasn't too happy about having to stay a few minutes late.
-
That was odd with the 60sec forecast at the very end. Adam is a hoot!
-
lol indeed. Kinda reminds me how TWC used to show 60-90 second forecast updates at the top and bottom of the hour during long-form programming pre-2003.
-
Seeing Adam on TWCHD, it's clear he needs to take a break from the graveyard shifts. He's starting to look like he's aged a good 15 years (no offense to him)
-
Adam is doing weather forecasts for CNN today.
-
Nicole Mitchell just posted that Adam is going to the Miami market.
Nicole Mitchell Facebook Post:
2 years ago today I was terminated by TWC (following harassment over my military service)....boy how time flies!
In good news for one of my friends and former colleagues, Adam Berg is headed to Miami TV.

Well, I read this yesterday and I guess I misunderstood what I was reading. You're right, it says NOTHING about them working together again. My mistake. :wall:
