A little while ago I completed a survey on "The Front" that promised a thank you gift. It arrived today. Thing is... I'm not really that big a fan of Jim Cantore.
If anyone wants me to send this in the mail, send me your address in a private message. It's literally first come, first served.

Already claimed, guys.

Damn.

Jim Cantore did not really sign each individual picture. I also got one in the mail, and comparing mine to yours, every single detail of the "autograph" is identical. They're just copies. Smooth move TWC...

Last evening, I received a package in the mail from TWC. I opened it, and found a thank you card from TWC and a supposedly autographed picture of Jim Cantore. Being a Cantore fan, I was excited, however, it turns out that Jim Cantore did not autograph each photo, as you can tell in the photos below. There is a 100% match in every detail between the two autographs; therefore each picture was copied from the original, and the autograph is not authentic. If TWC is going to send out an "autographed" picture, they should at least make sure they're authentic!
The first photo is of my Cantore pic, and the second one is of another TWCT member (Eric's) photo. You can clearly see that there are no subtle differences between the autographs.

Yep - same photo with the same copied autograph. I'm sure Cantore fans would enjoy it, though.
-
Well, what can you do? :dunno:

Like me. How do you get that?

There was a survey at https://www.thefrontpanel.com/ (https://www.thefrontpanel.com/) a few (?) months ago that promised a thank you gift. This is the gift.

I merged the two topics created by Eric and Matthew about this "thank you gift" because there was really no reason for two separate topics talking about the exact same thing.
In all honesty, this really does not surprise me. I have no idea how many people filled out the survey and are receiving this gift, but do you really expect Jim Cantore to sign each photo? There are plenty of instances I can think of in which people make copies of their signatures or use a stamp or something instead of authentically signing. I am sure most people receiving the photo probably do not care - as long as Jim's signature is on there, they're happy.

I got this autograph in the mail yesterday too. I still think that's a cool picture of Jim Cantore. The signature is defiantly a copy, but at least I don't mind, I'm keeping this in my collection.

I wish I didn't see this topic, now I'm looking everywhere for a survey! <_<
