In this thread, you can share about the worst playlists you have ever heard on TWC. I would have to say that every playlist so far this year has bombad except for February 2007 which had a lot of good music.
-
I think every playlist in 2000 was a bomb. Too much big band and older jazz tunes for my liking.
-
Pre 1996 was terrible.
2000 and 2001 were "slow" years. 2002 was a big improvement over 00 and 01. 2003 was by far the best year ever, where
nearly every playlist was freakin awesome. Late 2005 and pretty much all of 2006 and 2007 weren't good.
-
Are you nuts? The years prior to 1993 were arguably the best in TWC's history. The music was great, especially in 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1995.

Removed yet another of your posts Gil. You WILL learn to respect me and this forum, even if it kills me. >:(

I agree. After that, most of the music went downhill.

I disagree. There were a number of standouts in the mid and late nineties inlcuding Trammell Starks, Chris Camozzi, Brian Hughes, Torcuato Mariano, and Ficara, to name a few.

True, some of those artists had some great songs, and I'm not saying I dislike all music from 1996 onward, but there haven't been any really great playlists since then (this thread is about playlists we liked, not which songs/artists we like).

I'm well aware of what this thread is about, and I'm not trying to argue. 8)

I agree with you about the music used prior to 1996. The music back then was too slow. I liked most of the songs used from 2000-May 2007
-
I'm lost, really, as to how most of you can even remember it. :D
-
I thought 1998 was pretty good, specially 2nd and 3rd quarter.
-
2000 had some really good playlists as well as 2003. The top faves in 2005 were JUly and August and in 2006 October and November. For 2007, February and hopefully August, Sept, Oct, Nov and/or Dec.
-
After 2000 - terrible
Before 2000 - great
End of story

I have to disagree. Many playlists after 2000 were excellent, IMO.
-
IMO, my least favorite year for TWC music overall is 2002...too many vocal songs...and the Primetime vocal music playlist of May 2007...
-
and the Primetime vocal music playlist of May 2007...
I will never forget that horrible night. >:(
-
aside from Let It Rain - Eric Clapton, what other vocal songs were there in 2002??
-
Were the vocal actually heard in the lf or did they just use the instrumental cuts. I would have to imagine the latter.
-
Yes, I know the vocal ones they used like Phish were the parts of the song that had no lyrics.
-
Up until this year they had never used a vocal cut from any tune. 8)
-
Well in the begining of the clip they used of Let It Rain, the people in the background said "Rain..." about 6 times.
-
Ugh. Once again since Gil has to act like...well, Gil, let me dumb down my statement.
I mean that TWC had never used a clip in which the lead vocals were present. Background effects, such as those in Let It Rain are just that, effects. Not vocals.
-
1996-2004 were the best for TWC and its music. I watched it most 1996-2002.
-
You don't happen to have any video recordings form back then, do you? :D
-
I dont. I didnt think recording TWC would of been for any good use.
-
LOL, yeah unfortunately I think many of us felt the same way at the time. Now we look back and wish we would have recorded some footage. :D
-
i personally thought TWC "Would never change" its "workings" which is why it never occured to me to record.
As you can see, I love "quotations"
-
Yeah I "noticed". Frankly, its very "annoying".
-
Well I'm "sorry"
-
Wow, like I haven't heard that "repeatedly".
