If TWC gave you the option to bring back 3 features from the old STARS or graphics packs/versions what would you choose?
For me at this moment in time I would choose:
1. Local forecast ID's
2. Return of the flavours - Mmmm... Mint Choc Chip :P
3. Return of the analog signal (I miss the XL and the 4000  )
-
1. The time that shows am & pm.
2. Today's date.
3. Moon phase.
4. Travel Cities Forecast.
-
1. 2 minute locals
2. Smooth Jazz
3. Original IntelliStar 2 design
-
1. 2 minute flavors
2. Smooth Jazz
3. Summary Screen
---------
4. Local Forecast IDs
-
1. Versatile Flavor Line ups again, the LFs can remain 1 minute long, but it would be nice to see some of the climate/almanac data you see on the side LDL (if you have the IS2) show up in the LF again. That's all I ask.
-
1. Two minute flavors
2. Old IS and IS2 designs
3. Smooth Jazz
4. Local Weather IDs
-
1. Station ID segment and local weather IDs
2. 90 second/2 minute flavors (would of loved it even more if they ever bring back 3/5/6 minute flavors, but I doubt its ever going to happen again)
3. Today's date and a clock that displays seconds like on the III/Jr./4000/XL
4. Travel Cities Forecast (and I doubt its ever going to happen again, see #2)
5. Countdown bar on the radar for the IntelliStar like how it was from version 1-2
6. Larger weather bulletin crawls in yellow, orange, and red and louder warning tone
7. Smooth Jazz plus the return of the Trammell Starks emergency playlist and even Killer Tracks/Network Music songs
8. Almanac with moon phases
9. Analog signal (but I also doubt its ever going to come back again since the legacy STARs are already showing its age)
That's all I could think of.
-
1. Hourly Forecast
2. Almanac
3. Metro Conditions/Forecast
-
1. ID screen
2. Smooth Jazz
3. 2 Min Flavors
-
I highly doubt that TWC would ever switch back to an analog signal. They most likely recycled all of the parts for such a setup

I can't understand why there's so much desire for a return to analogue. Why deliberately downgrade a service? Not only does digital have more to offer than analogue, including a much better picture quality, it also uses so much less bandwidth than an analogue channel that there's so much more room freed up on transponders to offer even more programming from other sources.

I suppose I didn't write it correctly, It would be nice to see the designs of the older units, not necessarily the analog signal.
-
* 2-minute flavors
* Latest Observations (perhaps 1 screen with 6 locations) and/or current conditions map
* Almanac (Weatherscan style - with moon phases, hi/lo records, and sunrise/sunset
* Satellite
* xL or IS-style topo maps
* smooth jazz
* better layouts/graphics (like the IS)
* J bar layout for LOT8s during long-form

2-minute flavor.
Smooth jazz, maybe other music occasionally.
The 1996-2005 logo, maybe also in an modernized style.
Return of the analog signal.
-
Current, Local, and Regional Conditions.....and the Regional Forecast
-
on the satellite version, i would love to see the return of the Severe Weather related things like currents watches and warnings, the severe weather outlook and the maps of the country that shows where there could be rain chances in the areas shaded in green and thunderstorms shaded in red.
-
Daypart forecast.
Latest Observations with 8 locations with 4 on two screens.
Louder warning tones on severe weather warnings with 5 beeps
Better radar graphics.
Regional forecast
2-minute flavors
LDL bar displayed during long-form programming
Metro area forecasts
Christmas music playlists that included David Arkenstone's "I Saw Three Ships", "We Three Kings", "March" from the nutcracker suite, and "Waltz of the snowflakes".
Moon phases, tidal information for coastal areas, the average and record highs and lows for the date and times for the sunrises and sunsets and average precipitation for month.
Everything else done away with when they changed it back on November 12, 2013.

Return of the analog signal.
Return to analog not going to happen (too fuzzy on a new TV). I think digital looks better (clear as a bell).
I would like 2-minute forecasts to return.
I would also like TWC to launch as a digital subchannel on local broadcast TV stations, just like HSN and QVC did on Ion.
