I'm with Billy on this one. It's probably so that blue sponsor area doesn't look "out of place."

I remember watching TWC on a LCD TV the other day and looking at the blue area and thinking the exact same thing, it looked so out of place and stuck out like a soar thumb.

Yeah, that LOT8's logo makes the title bar much nicer than before. I thought that blue area looked awkward and pointless without it.
