Just like the other thread at TWC Classics.
12:18 PM CDT, satellite LF with no audio for first 5 seconds, then trammell, then Traffi cPulse logo "overwrote" it,
then regular LF ith trammel.
-
Edit, LF cut out to satellite w/ Blackbard, and more Trammell.
-
LF has been going on continuously for 3 minutes now!
-
Wow, thats unusual. :o
-
they played last 30 seconds of Easy Times, now they are 2:30 into Evening, from the begining.
LF has been repeating continuously for 4 minutes with Trammell, and satellite LF.
-
Well, I'm certainly enjoying the Trammell music! ;D
-
5 minutes, same thing. Satellite LF keeps repeating over and over again.
-
My black bar went away!!
-
My black bar went away!!
Mine tool. It was displaying over the satellite LF.
-
Been going on continuouisly for 10 minutes. Now the Local is back.
-
My black bar went away!!
It's supposed to do that. That's when it's supposed to do on a normal broadcast. ;)
Wow, this satellite LF is STILL continuing. Something must be up in Master Control. :o
12:28, IS LF.
-
Yeah back to regular LF. Still Trammell though.
-
My fav song!! A New Day!
The normal LF comes in at normal Time with Trammel, but when the LF is over, it cuts out to continous satellite Tramell loop.
-
At 12:30, the satellite LF continues! ;D
-
Yep satelitle LF here too.
-
This is unbelievable!!! I wish I captured it.
-
Midnight Rain now.
-
IS ANYONE TAPING THIS? This would be excellent for the site!!
-
Back to normal now. :(
-
Yep.
Did anyone tape any of that?
-
Yep.
Did anyone tape any of that?
No...
-
Anyone else?
-
No, sorry, I didn't have time to record it. I would have if I wasn't in a hurry to get out the door for a dentist appointment. :(
But, without a doubt, that was the best Trammell outage in a while. Nearly 20 minutes of Trammell. :D
-
I hope this happens again! :)
-
So do I. But I hope someone records it next time though. It woud make great footage for the site!
-
I know this thread is down the list a bit. However, it seems like a pertinent thread.
I caught a TrammellCast at 9:18 PM. Apparently, my IntelliSTAR failed to cue at the correct time, resulting in a Satellite forecast. Afterwards, during Evening Edition, the IntelliSTAR kicked in, resulting in an overlap of program and local forecast. I have it captured and will soon post it in the "Contributions" section.
-
I'm glad you brought this thread back up Ernesto. I know there have been Trammell sightings since the last time this thread was posted in, so its beyond me why no one has posted in here before now.

Me three!

I saw that failure as well!
-
At 2:58 PM CDT, Trammell Starks' "Care Free" is playing, starting at the guitar solo :)

I recorded it. Look for it soon in the site contribs. forum. :)
-
"Beach Frolic" at 4:08 PM ET.
-
Two more Trammell Songs at 4:18-Bobby's Theme and Crazy Pianos! matt's names, of course. :D
-
I'm hearing what sounds like a Trammell song at 4:28. I'm recording!
Yes, I'm fairly certain this is.
-
Yes, that is Here Comes the Rain (Matt's name again).
-
Yes, that is Here Comes the Rain (Matt's name again).
Thanks...I suck at naming the Trammell songs.
I'm hearing another suspected Trammell song at 4:38. Again, recording...
-
I'm hearing another suspected Trammell song at 4:38. Again, recording...
It is "Unpredictable" (Matt's naming).
-
Wow, this has been quite a lengthy outage! :D
-
Wow, this has been quite a lengthy outage! :D
Indeed. It's been at least an hour and a half now.
-
More Trammell @ 4:48. Somethin's broke. :)
-
"Midnight Rain" aka "The Setting Sun" 4:48 PM ET.
-
Did anyone notice the music switch at the end of the LOT8s?
I believe the outage is now over.
-
I didn't hear the music switch?
-
I didn't hear the music switch?
At the end of the LF, Trammell cut out, and normal music cut in.
-
I believe the outage is now over.
It figures, because I just turned in to TWC at that time.
I didn't hear the music switch? Huh?
I heard it.
-
I didn't hear the music switch?
At the end of the LF, Trammell cut out, and normal music cut in.
Nope, not here. I watched the whole thing through and there was no switch.
-
More Trammell at 3:58.
-
There, know it alls. :D
-
Back to regular music about half way through the LF.
-
Nope, not here, once again.
Any wagers on what will play next? :D
-
Nope, not here, once again.
How's that possible? I clearly heard the music change in the middle of that LF.
-

Different audio feeds?
-
Gary,
Here's an audio clip of the initial change at 4:48 PM.
-
It didn't happen on mine. What part of that aren't you getting?
Trammell again at 5:08. :D
-

Trammell again at 5:08. :D
No, I get it. (though I find it odd) I posted that clip more as an example for anyone wondering what it sounded like.
Please notice my username does not start with a "T." (you may or may not get that)
-
"Better Than Nothing" aka "Fair Weather" at 5:18 PM ET.
-
"Better Than Nothing" aka "Fair Weather" at 5:18 PM ET.
Were you recording? I was busy editing videos, and forgot about the 5:18 LOT8s, so I missed it.
That's actually my favorite Trammell song.
-
"Better Than Nothing" aka "Fair Weather" at 5:18 PM ET.

Yes, I recorded it. 8)
-
"Crazy Pianos" aka "Jumpin'" at 5:28 PM ET. We've been through CD 1 almost twice now, I think.
-
"Pier 32" aka "Evening" at 5:38 PM ET.
-
"Thundersnow" aka "A New Day" 4:48 PM ET.
-
"Season On Edge" at 5:58 PM ET.
-
Definitely Trammell again at 6:08 PM.
-
"40 Below" aka "Life" at 6:38 PM ET.
-
Unpredictable at 6:48, after a brief pause.
-
Wow, this definitley qualifies as the longest Trammell outage I've ever seen. :o
And it may not be over yet!
-
At 6:58 "Thundersnow" aka "A New Day" to start, then "Midnight Rain" aka "The Setting Sun" (the latter being one of my favorite Trammell tunes.) B)
-
Wow, something must be REALLY wrong.
-
Wow, something must be REALLY wrong.
I wouldn't mind this being a full-time playlist. ;)

Me neither! I'd love it! :D
-
"Better Than Nothing" aka "Fair Weather" at 7:29 PM ET.
-
I got "The Setting Sun" taped, but I'm not gonna even bother posting it on the site since Billy already did.
-
And Trammell continues into the primetime hours... "Season On Edge" at 8:08 PM ET.
-
"Night Breeze" aka "Good Times" at 8:18 PM ET.
-
Lazy Days and Beach Frolic at 8:28
-
I'm sick of this. put the regular music on, please.
-
"Bobby's Theme" aka "Good Ole Days" at 8:38 PM ET.
-
I'm sick of this. put the regular music on, please.
I disagree. This is awesome! :D
-
"40 Below"/"Life" at 8:48 PM ET.
-
I'm sick of this. put the regular music on, please.
I disagree. This is awesome! :D
Agreed! Make it permanent! :D
-
Another great Trammell song at 8:58!
Uhh...I'll let someone else do the naming... :-[
-
This is sooooo much better than this month's playlist!!
-
This is sooooo much better than this month's playlist!!
Agreed! I feel like I've gone back in time to the 90's! :D
-
"Midnight Rain"/"The Setting Sun" again at 9:08 PM ET. This is the third time I've heard this song today. 8)
-
My only complaint is that I wish they'd play all three cd's instead of continually repeating CD 1.
-
Maybe its just cause i listed to Trammell everyday for 8 months, so now i don't want to hear his music for a year.
I heard The Setting Sun/Midnight Rain just now, one of my fav songs. It sounds much better on TV than on an iPod.
-
Sounds to me like this is permenatny
-
Sounds to me like this is permenatny
We'd be lucky. :D
Though, I'd want them to add in some regular playlist songs, to mix it up a little.
-
Yeah, everyone, this is official. Because the past two songs have started perfectly, right at the begining, which would never normally happen. Trammell is here to stay :)
-
"Bourbon Street"/"Jamaican Jam" 9:18 PM ET.
-
Yeah, everyone, this is official. Because the past two songs have started perfectly, right at the begining, which would never normally happen. Trammell is here to stay :)
That doesn't necessarily mean that's the case. ;) Unless you happen to have official information about it, I don't think it's permanent.

i didnt mean permentanty. I mean, this is planned. Or their music computer kicked off.
-
Care Free at 8:28. Using almost the EXACT same times as 2:58 PM this afternoon. I just love the guitaring in this song. It makes it one of those "kickass" trammell songs. WHy doen't he use more electric guitar?
-
Something's up my friends. Either this is permanent or else TWC is having MAJOR MAJOR problems. I can't imagine that TWC could be having a problem so big that TRammel has played for the last 5 and a half hours.
-
Yep. either they are purposely doing it, or their computer is broken. If its still on tomorrow morning, than its permenantygnhergweg.dw
OK anywho. They shouldve done it in Jan 2006, which marked Trammell's 10 year anniversary on TWC
-
Trammell once again at 9:38! 8)
-
Fair Weather.
Should I keep recording every Local Forecast? I've recorded 32 local forecasts this afternoon and tonight.
-

Given the extent of this issue (whatever it is), I don't think its necessary to keep recording. I would however, appreciate it if you would share your recordings with us, because I'd like to add them to the site in a special section called either "The Day Trammell Returned", or "The Longest Outage in TWC History", depending on which situation is responsible for this.
-
I will start recording.. (I just got my IS back, got cable again)
Trammell ftw!

Cool. I'll record a few more later tonight. I'll take a break for now because I have some homework to do, but if Trammell is still playing later, I'll get a few more LFs, and put all of them into a big ZIP file and upload it.
-

Trammell ftw!
Share your recordings with us, if you can! I want to have as many as possible to put in the special section I'm going to create for them on the site!
Sounds good Billy!

Both titles sound cheesy, if you ask me :D

They aren't set in stone. I was just using those to illustrate what I had in mind.
-
The Trammell songs are still fading out in the middle of the forecast.
-
Yeah, its as if they're in continuous rotation, like on WxScan.
-
Thats because they use the actual CD in a CD player, not tracks on a computer. thats why it does that.
-
Which would probably indicate that this is not permanent. :(
-
Who knows. Kyle might... Hi Kyle :)
-
I doubt he has any idea. He doesn't work for TWC.
-
8:58 PM, Easy Times. One of my fav tunes :)
-
10:08 PM ET - "Unpredictable"/"Smooth Sailing" then "Thundersnow"/"A New Day".
While we're in 1996 again, maybe TWC will bring back the overnight J flavor. :p
-
"Midnight Rain"/"The Setting Sun" at 10:18 PM ET.
edit: Then "Season on Edge" to end the LF.
-
"Bourbon Street"/"Jamaican Jam" then "Night Wind"/"Good Times" at 10:28 PM ET.

10:08 PM ET - "Unpredictable"/"Smooth Sailing" then "Thundersnow"/"A New Day".

Why do I always miss my favorite songs. :frantic:

I've missed Fair Weather three times already. Hehe.
-
I've caught Good Times twice today. (In fact, I'm uploading a Junior Emulator clip of it right now).
-
Recording "Fair Weather" currently. Finally caught it...wow.
-
"Fair Weather" at 10:48 PM ET. This is the fourth time I've heard it today.
-
Thank goodness I have a decent-sized hard drive. The videos keep rolling in...
-
The Trammell Train continues.
-
Wow, this is ridiculous! (in a good way!)
This is certainly a red-letter day in TWC history: Wednesday, September 19, 2007. 8)
I wish I would have been able to see it all, but at least I got to see a lot of it. I actually predicted Fair Weather playing at 9:48 CT since it hadn't played for so long; I didn't actually expect it to actually play, though. :P
The guitar solo in "Carefree" is one of my absolute favorites. I've listened to it at least ten times over the past week. That's definitely some of Trammell's finest right there.
Hopefully this will continue for a while still as it seems their normal LF music computer has completely gone out. I guess if we wanted to be real TWC nerds, we could predict what song will play on each LF by calculating the time between LFs against the song times. :P
I'm pretty sure this backup music is all of disc 1 and at least parts of disc 2. Does anybody know if they use all of disc 2?
-
I'm pretty sure this backup music is all of disc 1 and at least parts of disc 2. Does anybody know if they use all of disc 2?
I'm pretty sure it is all of disc 1. I haven't heard any music from disc 2 tonight or throughout any other Trammell outage.
-
I've heard Beach Frollic earlier, which is on Disc 2.
-
I've heard Beach Frollic earlier, which is on Disc 2.
It all depends on which version of the CDs you got. Recently, I believe Trammell split up the songs 13/13/13, but originally it was 15/16/8, and that leads me to believe that TWC has the original 15/16/8 copy because right after Beach Frolic plays, the CD seems to start over with Fair Weather.
-
Disc 1, track 10 just played at 10:29 CT. (sorry, I don't know the name off-hand)
That song brings back memories of my youth, and I'll admit, it's subconsciously associated with bad weather. When I first heard that song after I bought Trammell's CDs, it brought back memories of some particularly bad weather from when I used to live in Bolingbrook, IL. I'm assuming that song was playing during the bad weather.
-

I know TWC has the original CD's because they've had them since Trammell was in the normal rotation. :D
-
Yeah, it's definitely just the original disc 1. It's a shame they don't use the other ones. :(
-
Yeah, it's definitely just the original disc 1. It's a shame they don't use the other ones. :(
Yeah, that's my only complaint. After hearing every song on Disc 1 three or four times, they get kind of repetitive. Oh well, better the same 13 songs over and over then no Trammell at all! :D
-
"Bobby's Theme"/"Good Ole Days" at 11:59 PM ET.
-
"40 Below"/"Life" then "Here Comes The Rain"/"Easy Times" at 12:08 AM ET.
-
"Unpredictable"/"Smooth Sailing" at 12:18 AM ET.
-
Is it me or are tracks 6 & 7 very similar?
-
Has "After the Rain" ever played?
-
Has "After the Rain" ever played?
During this or other Trammell outages? No. It played back in the mid and late 1990s, though.
-
It's a shame Trammell lost it. Does anyone know if he tried to recreate it?
-
"Fair Weather" for the fifth time today... This outage has been going for ten hours now! :frantic:
-
Just now was the first time tonight that I've heard the middle part of "Good Ole Days". Love it!
-
Normal music just cut back in at 2:29 CT.
I guess it's over. :(
Edit (2:38): Back to Trammell now. This is starting to act just like the first hour of the outage: jumping back and forth between Trammell and regular music.
(2:39): Back to regular music for the last 5-10 seconds of the LF
-
Trammell continues this morning...!
-
Trammell still going as of 5:58
"?/Good Times" at 6:08am
-
What is going on here?!?!?!?!? This is the longest outage in years.
-
Sure is.. "Fair Weather" @ 6:28am
-
The guitar solo in "Carefree" is one of my absolute favorites. I've listened to it at least ten times over the past week. That's definitely some of Trammell's finest right there.
Amen to that!
My CD 1 has 15 tracks... CD 2 has 16 tracks, and CD 3 has 8 tracks (I THINK)
-
Trammell is still playing.
-
Trammell Still playing. Just heard Lazy days
-
Just heard Island Groove at 8:18 A.M.. 8)
-
Crazy Pianos at 8:48.
-
Trammell all morning.
Could they have lost their license to play the music?
-
Trammell all morning.
Could they have lost their license to play the music?
I suppose its possible.
-
Trammell again at 9:38.
-
Getting satellite and "Evening" by Trammell Starks.
-
Satellite and Trammell again.
-
Thundersnow + Satellite LF at 10:18.
-
Thundersnow + Satellite LF at 10:18.
Hey, I just said that! :rofl2:
-
Satellite and Trammell once again.
-
Same at 10:48.
-
Wow. Something must really be wrong at TWC if we the normal playlist goes out, then the next day the STAR system goes dead!
-
This is definitley the worst error I've ever seen on TWC-and the longest! :o
-
Satellite and Trammell again.
-
Continuing with Trammell. The regular LF has returned, but HIrad appears to be out of service as my old CC location has returned (Martin Airport).
-
Island Groove and (my very favorite Trammell song) The Mist/Good Times at 11:38.
BTW, did anyone tape any of that spat of satellites we had between roughly 9 and 11?
-
Trammell again at 11:48. And HiRAD appears to be backup again as my CC location changed back to Downtown Baltimore.
-
Well its 12:48 and the regular music has returned. :(
-
Regular music back? I loved Trammell! <_<
-
Their computer fucked off, probably.
-
Gil, I'm not going to have this. One more time and your out.
-
I had a PM with the same word.
-
Gary, I recorded the period you mentioned this morning, and I don't think the DirecTV Intellistar went out. That's very weird if that's the case.
-
Frankly I wish Trammell played everyday. I love it.
-
More Trammell 7:38 PM ET.
-
Yay!!! Trammell's back!!!
-
This is the greatest day ever!!
-
This is the greatest day ever!!
Correction-the 2nd greatest day ever. YEsterday was the greatest. :P :D
-
Yesterday and today almost make up for that horrible travesty that happened on May 7, 2007.
-
Regular music again.
-
Satellite LF with Trammell 8:38 PM ET.
-
Trammell Starks this morning (Matts name in paranthesis)
6:38 AM: Jumpin (Crazy Pianos)
6:48 AM: Easy Times
6:58 AM: A New Day (ThunderSnow)
-
Regular LF with Regular Music at 8:48 ET.
-
I actually enjoyed May 7. I wouldn't mind if they did that every once in a while.
-
I actually enjoyed May 7. I wouldn't mind if they did that every once in a while.
Same here. Maybe during a few nights a week would be good.
-
Trammell at 8:38 PM ET...
-
Backup issues! I don't know why on your Intellistar, but my satellite goes through a lot of backup at that time on weekdays during AB
-
Trammell cut into the LF about two thirds of the way through the 6:08 PM ET local.
-
6:18 PM ET LF started out normal, then Trammell came in a few seconds later.
-
Trammell 6:38 PM ET. I assume Trammell played at 6:28, but I wasn't around, so I'll have to check my tapes.
Edit: Trammell indeed played at 6:28.
-
Trammell 6:48 PM ET.
-
what is the name of the trammell song currently playing?
-
Hearing Smooth Sailing! And I have an orange scroll on the bottom of the screen.
Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEEuvaNYB1M) the video if anyone's interested.
-
Looks like we could have another Trammell Starks 24 hour marathon.
-
Is the music on the LF low for anyone?
-
Looks like we could have another Trammell Starks 24 hour marathon.
yes its likely
-
Looks like we could have another Trammell Starks 24 hour marathon.
What's wrong with that (referring to your rolleyes emoticon)?
-
Had Trammell this morning up until sometime in the 9:00AM hour...but it's fixed now.
EDIT: Scratch that...Trammell's back. One local with regular music.
-
There's nothing wrong with Trammell Starks playing, I'm glad it played for as long as it did and as for the rolling eyes thing, it was just my way of hinting a another possible 24 hour lf outage.
-
3 more LFs with trammel
4:28 (A New Day)
4:38 (Jumpin)
4:48 end of (The Setting Sun) then (Evening).
-
Heard a bit of Trammell play at the end of the 3:38 PM ET LF.
-
Happened again at 3:48 PM ET. Heard about five to seven seconds of "Jumpin'" at the end of the LF.
-
Again, more Trammell at the end of the 3:58 PM ET LF.
-
A fair bit of "Smooth Sailing" played at the end of the 4:08 PM ET LF.
-
another sighting after the 4:18 lf
-
Again at the end of the 4:28 PM ET LF.
-
The regular music is ending early end trammell starts at the near end of the lf!
-
Trammell again- 4:38pm EST Lazy Days
-
maybe there is an outage soon ?
-
maybe there is an outage soon ?
nah, i doubt
-
i really hope so because i want to get some footage for everybody to enjoy
-
There was an outage starting around 8PM on the 21st and still lasting until at least 2:00AM on the 22nd. The outage had The Weather Channel completely out with the exception of a steady repeat of the national forecasts default (radar, city forecasts, etc.) and no music until around 1:10AM, which the Trammell Starks playlist came into play. My Comcast Digital Cable WeatherScan also was in disarray as well (nothing except for a frozen crawl and empty blue screens until around 1AM). It eventually came back to be relatively normal at 1AM, but still had local data that was missing on the left side info bar and glitchy feed. It was great to hear Trammell's music.
-
maybe there is an outage soon ?
nah, i doubt
Well victor was i right ;)
-
yeah a really big outage! :shocled:
-
A New Day at 9:48pm
-
Trammell at 9:58 PM ET.
-
Maybe trammell Will be on all nite?
-
Trammell 10:08 PM ET.
-
so youre using the phone agin heh?
-
Trammell 10:18 PM ET.
-
Yep sorry for posting twice
-
Trammell 10:28 PM ET.
-
Actually the regular music started a second in the beginning then Trammell kicked in
-
We're back to the normal playlist now.
BTW, for those of you with cable who couldn't see what was happening underneath your STAR, TWC was having issues where frozen commercials were appearing instead of the satellite LF and LF music, so they kept manually switching to the emergency feed during every LF for a time.

We're back to the normal playlist now.
BTW, for those of you with cable who couldn't see what was happening underneath your STAR, TWC was having issues where frozen commercials were appearing instead of the satellite LF and LF music, so they kept manually switching to the emergency feed during every LF for a time.
Was it effecting both the SD and HD feed?
-
Nope, just SD.
-
Trammell at 3:48
-
trammell at 9:48am
-
Trammell at 3:28 Central
-
Hrm.. Trammell at 3:35, completely interrupting Vivian, I'll have video in a moment.
-
Here's the video from that 3:35 error. The programming has resumed back to normal after those two Trammell sightings.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7VTq78H0pA
-
10:38 AM
Started as normal song, then went right into Jumpin about 10 seconds after...
-
Trammell 11:38am ET.
-
Trammell 11:38am ET.
Beat ya to it.
-
Satellite LF with Trammell 2:00 PM ET.
-
1:00 AM ET. Trammell with Satellite LF.
-
Apparently they lost the ability to broadcast live from the studio there. The commercials at :06 and the LF played fine, but the Trammell LF returned at :10 and lasted for the entire studio segment. The live studio feed returned at :20.
I'm assuming they'll simply use the first hour's segments when this hour is supposed to be rebroadcast at 2 AM CT.
-
Heard a few seconds of Trammell at the end of the 2:28 AM ET LF.
-
"Life" at 10:08 PM ET. The funny thing is I was just listening to it on my computer.
-
Trammell at 10:09 pm
Started with "Nashville Skyline" by Kathy Ball then some unknown Trammell Stark song 5 seconds later
-
"Evening" at 10:18 pm.
-
Trammell!
Great to hear Trammell, but it gets cancelled out because sometimes the INTELLISTAR VOICEOVER NEEDS TO SHUT THE HELL UP. :)
-
10:28 pm et - end of "A New Day," beginning of "The Setting Sun."
Also, my music is now synced up to TWC's. :D :P
-
Yep. I'm waiting for "Good Times" or "Jamacian Jam" to pop up. My two favorite.
-
Comeon I want this moment to last.
*Please crash for a few hours Intellistar pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease*
-
Since I am blessed yet cursed with satellite, I can tell you exactly why we had that Trammell error; as it turns out, the satellite LF computer failed at the start of the 9:08 PM CT LF, so they switched to the emergency feed just so that the satellite viewers would see *something* instead of just a black screen.
-
Trammell at 10:18 PM
-
I heard Trammell on the emergency feed a few minutes before 6AM this morning, then the LOT8's opener and normal LF.
-
Trammell at 7:09 PM
-
They Should make A Trammell Playlist To make us
-
is there trammell playing urrently?
-
But i got a trammell clip ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo2ogc9RERo
-
No LF opener at 3:58, then Trammell (Jumpin) on the LF, and is skipping a bit. Recording this...
-
No opener again at 4:08, emergency feed shows for a second with Trammell, then normal LF.
-
You got a normal LF on SD? OR was it just that your STAR kicked in? The HD feed stayed on the emergency feed until they went back to the studio.
-
I meant that my IntelliStar came in at 4:08 with normal music from the playlist.
-
Can HD viewers hear Trammell on the lf too?
-
Although I didn't hear any Trammell (I was busy doing homework :P), at 4:18 PM ET, the local ads ran, and when they were finished, there was a frozen commercial on the national feed, then my IntelliStar kicked in with a 1:30 flavor, and strangely, the Week Ahead appeared at the end of the LF, not the Extended Forecast.
-
Can HD viewers hear Trammell on the lf too?
Yes. In fact back in November HD viewers heard Trammel for several days, while the SD feed had music from the normal playlist.
-
I saw that! There was creepy picture of this creepy woman forzen. then the music started and the satellite kicked in
-
Even though the SD channel switches back, the HD channel stays on the emergency feed throughout the entire LF. I'm assuming the HD LF can't cue with whatever problems are going on right now. Case in point: at the 3:08 CT LF, the LF music started playing after the dead air where the opener should've played, but the HD LF never cued, so they switched over to the emergency feed.
-

The Week Ahead was shown at 3:48 too. I wonder if the 3-day forecast was discontinued?

Yes. In fact back in November HD viewers heard Trammel for several days weeks, while the SD feed had music from the normal playlist.
Fixed. :P

I dont see Mike's post that Spring Rubber quoted
-
I dont see Mike's post that Spring Rubber quoted
It's the last post on the 17th page.
-
I don't know what everyone on SD saw, but over on the HD channel, the failures continue. We saw the LF opener at 3:28 CT, but when it came time for the actual LF, we saw a frozen first frame of the Weather Center sponsor graphic until the emergency feed kicked in and stayed on for the rest of the LF.
-

Here, the IntelliStar queued right after a weather.com/tv LF opener.
edit: anyone think discussion should be split into a new topic?
-
3:38 - Frozen Dr. Anna Marie opener before emergency LF kicks in - track 12 playing.
The HD LF machine must be screwed up or something; still no sign of it coming back.
-
So the trammell music is ongoing?
-
The HD LF returned at 3:48, but many of the animations were lagging, and the LF didn't even finish before they went national.
-
Things have been okay since 3:58, but oddly, the 3:58 LF started with a quick glimpse of the last frame of a 2-minute LF before it reset and started from the beginning.
-
4:28 PM. Starts off as normal, cuts int o trammel, cuts back for a second, then back to trammell
-
The things I miss by watching the HD feed...
-
4:28 PM. Starts off as normal, cuts int o trammel, cuts back for a second, then back to trammell
Yeah, Mr. I Don't Watch TWC Anymore.
-
Today, the HD LF had problems of its own again. At 2:38 PM CT, the LF started with music playing, but the LF failed to appear, resulting in a few seconds of a blank screen until they switched to the emergency feed.
Then at 2:48 CT, the exact opposite problem happened: the LF appeared just fine, but the audio was nothing but static. The emergency feed finally kicked in once they realized the audio problem. By 2:58 CT, everything was back to normal.
-
Trammell + emergency feed before the 5:28 PM ET LF. Then Trammell during the LF.
-
I've never caught a trammell outage
I hope it plays again in the next lf.
-
TWC sure loves to give me great birthday presents every year!
-
More Trammell at 5:38. Then LF opener plays with satellite LF and normal music.
-
Emergency feed appeared for about five seconds during a commercial at 6:15 PM ET.
-
Did Trammell play earlier? I might record the next one if it does.
-
ammell for 10 seconds after lf with the song "A New Day".
-
.5 second emergency feed a few seconds ago due to a commercial failure. :P
-
Trammell cut into the 6:58 PM ET LF about half way through.
-
There was a long emergency feed during Full Force Nature this afternoon. My DVR's buffer only went back to 1:45 PM CT, and the emergency feed was already going at that point. It lasted until 1:48 when they went to commercial, and it wound up causing WWC to start a minute late at the top of the hour.
-
Trammell Starks played in place of the LOT8's opener.
-
4:19 PM ET: Trammell cuts into LF.
-
Again, not here on the HD feed.
-
Trammell interrupts the 9:48 AM ET LF.
-
Trammell at 11:28 am et.
-
Trammell at 10:58 AM ET. LF started out with normal music for first few seconds.
-
"Fair Weather" plays at 1:58 AM ET.
-
Interesting. My HD feed was acting up around that time. For no apparent reason at 12:48 AM CT, my HD LF cut to the emergency feed about halfway through, then during the LF you mentioned, it cut to the emergency feed for a split second during the quiet period before Fair Weather but after track 15 but switched back to the HD LF before Fair Weather started. Again, there seemed to be no reason for that.
-
Trammelllllllllllllllll
Pier 32 kicked in at the end of 4:38 PM EDT LF.
-
Trammell and emergency feed appear at 10:00 PM ET.
-
Right now (4:38 local)
-
More Trammell at 4:48 PM ET. LF started out as normal music.
-
The HD feed was having similar problems at the same time. I saw the 3:58 CT LF, and it started with static for audio before switching over to the emergency feed. This time, however, they actually switched back to the LF once it was fixed, normally they run the emergency feed for the entire LF timeslot.
-
Trammell during 2:18 PM CT LF.
-
AND 2:28
-
I saw him a few weeks ago at about... 10:28 PM, was it?
-
Trammell at 11:38 AM ET.
-
At the beginning of the 1 PM ET hour of Day Planner, they were having audio problems, so they switched to the emergency feed for maybe 15-20 seconds.
-
Trammell at 11:58 PM ET. LF started out with "Homeward Bound" by Patrick O'Hearn, then cut to Trammell.
-
I wonder if the satellite LF failed again. I tuned in late and only caught the Trammell part.
-
We've got more Trammell at 12:08.
-
The emergency feed displays on satellite during the LF periods right now, so I'm thinking the satellite LF system is broken again.
-
And it continues at 12:18 AM ET.
-
And again at 12:28 and 12:38.
-
<3 Trammell
-
And it would appear that the issue is fixed as of 12:48 AM ET.
-
It looked like they just got it loaded back up in time for that LF. It started out black but snapped on a few seconds later.
-
Problems at the 1 PM ET hour of Day Planner equates to Trammell plus emergency feed!
OMG, they're playing different Trammell Songs. Currently hearing CD 2 Track 3!!! I can't remember the last time I've heard that on TWC!
-
At 1:10 after the Local Forecast, "Rainy Days" (Track 4, CD2) is playing!
-
Videos...
"Do You Believe?" and then "Winter Tundra": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgx2ecgHbRc
Local Forecast then "Rainy Days": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu4Mfm_IMLA
Gary, let me know if you could use these on the site.
-
I like Winter Tundra. It's been one of my favorite Trammell songs since it was first heard on Weatherscan.
-
Yes, I certainly could use those on the site! :sunglasses:
-
Yes, I certainly could use those on the site! :sunglasses:
It might be a while until I can upload them. They're each about 10MB.
-
More Trammell right now... CD 3 Track 4.
-
No problem. Whenever you get it done is fine. :sunglasses:
-
Wow, nice to see that TWC hasn't completely forgotten about Trammell's other music. The only sad part is that we might never hear some of his good songs from the first 15 tracks on the air again.
Do we have any idea what the new order to the tracks might be?

I'm not 100% positive, but it seems to be a mix of all the Trammell songs, randomly shuffling all three CDs
-
Local Forecast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uu4Mfm_IMLA
The song in the LF is New Mercies by Jim Couchenour, which is my favorite song by this artist.
-
Awesome! CD 1 was getting kinda old, in the past few years :hmm:
-
I emailed Brian Picard asking him if he had anything to do with the other Trammell songs suddenly appearing on the emergency feed, but I got an automated response saying he's out of the office. I guess I'll have to wait until Monday (or whenever he comes back) for a reply.

Trammell here at 12:17 AM ET.
-
We are such TWC dorks that we run here the instant we witness Trammell. It's fun. :sunglasses:
Can anyone ID that song?
-

Can anyone ID that song?
I know, we are such dorks. :P But has anyone noticed the number of these types of errors has increased a lot within the past few days?
I'll get an ID for the song once I go back and review my tapes.
Edit: It was "Late Night Cafe" (CD 3 Track 11).
-
Why don't you get to that right now? Huh? I could do it, but I haven't yet either, yet I expect you to be on top of that even though I'm not, so let's fight about it!
-
See the edit in my previous post. ;)
-
Your edit was five seconds later. Obviously you didn't work fast enough.
-
It's great that they are stearing away from the plain old CD 1 that's been used for YEARS! Maybe now I can hear some of my favorite tracks on CD 2.
-
I loved that disc one. Jamaican Jam, Downpour, Lazy Days, Season on Edge, and Good Times, my all time favorite.
-
Trammell at 3 PM following error after LF following WeatherVentures. The Sat. LF is showing with LDL showing after 2:59 LF
-
Trammell has one song that plays regularly on Weatherscan and I just heard it.
-
Listen closer. There are several Trammell songs playing on WxScan.
-
We've got more Trammell at 12:08.
If I remember correctly, I heard A New Day (?) at that time.
And it continues at 12:18 AM ET.
I heard Season on the Edge at that time.
And again at 12:28 and 12:38.
I also heard Beach Frolic at 2008-05-14 23:38-0500 (14 May 2008 at 11:38 PM Central Daylight Time), albeit with errors.
-
I wonder if this means that we will possibly hear After The Rain, seeing as TWC is still using the original discs!
-
I think I heard about a half second of Trammell right before the local ads kicked in at 1:47 AM ET.
-
Ok, here's the answer I got from Mr. Picard regarding the Trammell tunes:
We run a backup loop of Trammell Starke songs that play automatically when we experience problems with our automation system. The songs are from our library of TS cuts, from which I created a loop of about 20 tracks.
-
20 tracks, huh?
I wish they'd have more issues so we could hear them more often.
-
Trammell at 10:38 PM ET. They might be preparing the June playlist...
-
Trammell at 3:58 PM CT.
-
trammel (satellite forecast) at 4:01 P.M.
-
Trammell 4:08 P.M. CDT
-
We were all good here on the HD feed; no problems.
-
trammel (satellite forecast) at 4:01 P.M.
Huh? I saw the normal TWC feed at that time.
-
trammell @ 4:38
-
I recorded the trammell feed too. It start out at the end and the satellite lf flickered.

-
Trammell at the end of the 6:28 PM ET LF.
-
It has been going on since then but none at 7:48
-
It appears that there is an issue going on with the SD satellite LF, and they're switching over to the emergency feed at the end of the LF. Can anyone with satellite back me up on that one?
-
It appears that there is an issue going on with the SD satellite LF, and they're switching over to the emergency feed at the end of the LF. Can anyone with satellite back me up on that one?
Yeah, there's radar/satellite data missing, so the normal satellite LF is ending early, leaving a black screen until they switch to the emergency feed.
-
Has anyone heard After The Rain yet? I'm wondering if it's in the 20-track lineup.
-

No, I haven't yet heard it. I've asked Brian Picard if he could provide a list of the songs in the loop.

Yep.
-
Where did you all ever get the idea that that song might be in the loop? It hasn't been heard in eyars, and now all the sudden something makes you think it may be in the loop?
Maybe I'm missing something?
-

Maybe I'm missing something?
Well, if TWC still has all the original Trammell CDs from 1995, chances are, the song may still be somewhere floating around TWC studios. For all we know, Brian may very well have picked that song for the loop. There is a 50% chance of it.
-

Maybe I'm missing something?
Yes, you are. Up until very recently, only CD 1 was being used on the emergency feed. Now they are using tracks from all 3 CD's, hence, increasing the chances of that song being heard.
-
But you guys know as well as I do that the track isn't on the CD's. The song was NEVER a part of the cd set at any given point. It seems to me that the track was given to TWC individually, before the other 39 songs were given to TWC. Remember, Trammell's compositions had been used on TWC long before his LF music was used.
Billy, 50%? I'll give ya 25. And that may be generous.
I don't know what the circumstances surrounding ATR are, but they're obviously not as cut and dry as you guys would make it sound.
-
I don't see why. It's the 40th song of the set, which makes much more sense than starting off at 39 tracks to begin with. I would bet anything that its on the TWC originals.
-
And that's good enough to make a 50% chance?
And you only ASSUME its the 40th song of the set. Who says? ;)
-
And you only ASSUME its the 40th song of the set. Who says? ;)
Who says its not? :whistling:
-
And you only ASSUME its the 40th song of the set. Who says? ;)
Who says its not? :whistling:
Pretty much everything we know says its not. Caution says its not. We don't have a single FACT that says it is. All we seem to have here is alot of presumptions, assumptions, heresay, and speculation.
-
Well let's just say that its unsure. It may be on the set, or it may not. It's hard to tell seeing as up until now, they only played CD 1 on the emergency feed.
Let's wait to see if Billy heard back from Brian.
-
Maybe to you its unsure, but its not to me. I have not heard even a single fact that would lead me to think even a little that it might be on there.
BTW, speaking of Billy, I noticed he's shying away from this conversation all the sudden. :P
-

Just sitting here patiently waiting for Brian to email me back. :P

Yes and no, respectively.
When you say yes or no, do you mean yes, your ISTAR cued, and you didn't post a video, or yes the ISTAR cued and went out a few seconds later.
And I'm asking about posting a video because you used to be the king of posting Emergency Trammell Feed on Youtube.
EDIT: Fixed your quote. ;)

No, it's still going.
Jumpin is playing now at 3:38pm et.
OT: I wonder why they rarely play my favorite song Fair Weather during an outage.
-
The outage is also happening on the HD LF, so apparently there's some sort of playlist issue. (which hasn't happened in a very long time; Trammell outages in recent times have all been issues with the satellite LF breaking)
Sadly, I think Fair Weather isn't a part of the new Trammell playlist; that's a shame because that's also one of my favorite songs.

No, we've had much longer outages. For example, there was that "meltdown" back in January, and a two-day long Trammell outage last September. Also, I remember having outages that lasted days from 2002-2004.

I remember hearing Trammell constantly, at least 4 days in early May 2004. That was around the time that TWC was switching satellites.

lol, it's been going on for over 12 hours.

"A New Day" at 11:28 PM ET.
-
Got plenty of clips recorded on my VCR. Will upload tomorrow.
-
I see you guys are getting a little lackluster on reporting which song plays at each LF. Has TWCC taken over the festivities, or are you guys tiring of reporting each Trammell song now that its been going on for over 12 hours? :P
-
or are you guys tiring of reporting each Trammell song now that its been going on for over 12 hours? :P
Probably that one. :P

I sort of figured that, though it was hard to rule out the first one seeing as TWCC seems to eventually take over the spotlight anytime something big happens. :D :P

Damn! this is the longest outage of '08 :wow: :faint:
-
Yeah, I think this outage had beaten the one we had during the meltdown!
-
I thought that one went on for two days?
Come on fellas, don't go cooky on me now. :whistling:
-
Yeah, I think this outage had beaten the one we had during the meltdown!
Yep, the Trammell during the meltdown only lasted about 10 hours.
-
This one is going on 13?
-
With that being said, I've flipped it over to "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" on ABC Family.
-
The Setting Sun - 12:48 AM ET.
-
12:58
-
1:08 AM ET (this might be the last because my star Disabled a little to early and I Didn't here Do You Believe?)
Istand corrected more Trammell at 1:18 AM ET
-
Something's also wrong with the way that EEWC is being played back tonight; the recording is kicking in a few seconds early with the start of every segment so that you can see the tail end of the satellite LFs that aired during the live broadcast. (as well as the top of the hour bumper that originally aired during the live show)

So I suppose that would explain why I'm hearing fragments of the "normal" music playlist at the end of each local forecast. So I assume the SD satellite LF is still down? If so, I'm still going by my original theory as to why it's down... :whistling:

and 2:08 AM ET
and 2:18 AM
and Winter Tundra at 2:28 AM
More at 2:38 AM
-
He is right that the sat. LF is down because it's been on the emergency version during the whole thing. The HD LF does not have the Trammell music and has the normal playlist.
-
Jumpin' and Life at 2:48 AM
and now I take a short recess because ICHT and FFN are Coming on (recording their 1 min. Flavors though)
-
forgot! more at 2:58 AM
This is starting to rival last September.
my Count: 15 Hours!!!

Most likely, yes, there would be very noticeable differences. I imagine it would look like the HD Satellite LF.
-
But wouldn't that be defeating the entire purpose of upgrading the SD satellite feed's graphics back in June?
-
1 min. Flavor 3:59 AM Trammell on my Istar and CriminalCola's XL Feed :P
-
More Trammel at 4:08AM Eastern.
:P You saw my XL stream. Sometimes I stream the SD or HD satellite LF as well, so not always the XL :)
-
When is the Stream On or offline?
But still "Jumpin" with Trammell at 6:28 AM ET. :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
-
We're "Jumpin" again at 7:38 AM EDT.
Is this a WSI System Issue?

I believe it's already broken a record. Back in September 2007, there was an outage that lasted roughly 24 hours, and I think this one has been going for longer than 24 hours now..

How about the major meltdown?
Btw, we're still "Jumpin" (secong song) at 11:20 AM ET.
-
How about the major meltdown?
The meltdown was only about 10 hours long, thus this beats that. Like I said, although this is the longest outage in years, we've seen much longer outages than this.

I wonder if they are planning on upgrading the SD LF system like beanboy suggested last night?
Also, my WX Star XL live stream is online again (link in sig)
-
Streams are usually behind, yet your stream is still ahead of my Satellite.
What are the hours of the stream?
I now know what ad and song comes up with this!!

The stream is ahead because my XL is about 6 seconds ahead of the SD satellite feed, and the stream is pretty much realtime (1-2 second delay)
Also, I leave the stream up for pretty much all day.
-
Wow, I can't believe I'm seeing a live XL (well, not in person on TV, but you get what I mean)! For the first time since 2004!

Who cares?

I would love to see all Trammel songs used as overnight playlists.
-
Well, today is a sad day.
I exchanged my defective copy of Guitar Hero III for my Wii today, only to find out the second one is bad too. After trying it on a neighbor's Wii, a few phone calls, my Wii is labeled as "sick" (not dead), and will be making the trip to Redmond for repairs. I will be Wii-less for about two to three weeks.
I need TWC to nuclear-proliferate itself again or for a STAR 4000 to show up on TWC. I'm going to need help to get through this.
I do believe I called this little Trammell marathon on Friday. :)
-
wow ..Trammell is still airing!....
-
Here's one video off of my VCR:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6hILJqCU84
-
Maybe TWC did away with playlists, and will just air Trammell from now on.
-
But don't you see the satellite local forecast is messed up? It's looping with abnormal flavors.

Why is this such a huge deal to you? Relax and enjoy the Trammell. :twothumbs:
-
I'm still not sick of hearing Trammell one bit!
-
I love "midnight Cruise" !
-
If the outage doesn't end today, we could see it all weekend too.
-
Hmm..we've probably had more Trammell during the August Playlist than the playlist itself.
-
12:08pm
One Trammel song stars, but I don't recognize it. Then when the forecast for tonight stars almost a minute in, Crazy Pianos starts playing.
-
If the Trammell continues this weekend, I'll record some XL clips and post 'em.
A couple of things that are odd though - there appears to be some "stuttering" when a new track starts up. Also, the Trammell playlist appears to be on "shuffle" mode... didn't it used to be in order, as on his CDs? Also, I see the satellite forecast for a split second at the start of every local forecast. Kinda makes me believe there's more than a playlist problem going on. And am I correct in assuming, in whatever order the music is playing, that it continues "behind the scenes" during commercials and live broadcasts? That's why when a Local Forecast starts, the song is already in progress?
Thx - and I'll hopefully get some new Xl vids this weekend!

The satellite local forecast is broken, from what we know. To prevent satellite viewers from looking at nothing for two minutes during the local forecast, TWC has flipped over to the "emergency feed" which is a constant satellite LF and a constant loop of 20 Trammell Songs.
-
That makes sense. At least though when the satellite l/f goes dead, the status quo is maintained, albeit "out of order". If the XL or the I/S (or 4000 or Jr) go dead, we get the satellite, which is a step back.
(if anything I've said has been replied to already or mentioned, i apologize. this thread is indeed 50 pages)
-
So how long is this going to last?
-
At this point, we aren't sure. :dunno:
-
So how long is this going to last?
How could anyone POSSIBLY answer that?
-
If the Trammell continues this weekend, I'll record some XL clips and post 'em.
If this is still going on Sunday I will grab some clips of an XL myself. Ill be down on vacation with an XL. Still nice to hear Trammell all of the time
-
Hmm...I wonder too if they lost their BMI license, and instead of reloading a playlist they just activated the emergency feed until their license is renewed.
-

Yeah, a few times back in the 1990s. That is why we had all Network Music playlists in July 1993 and a few more times in 1995.
-
It's an issue with the satellite feed too though. If it was a playlist issue, the satellite feed would be showing normal flavors with trammell music. The satellite feed is starting at odd areas of the map and looping with the radar first then the regional maps

PUHLEEZ Don't make it stop!!! :thrilled:

But you keep saying the same thing over and over. WE KNOW its a satellite issue. We can't do anything about it. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the Trammell, because its evidently not going anywhere anytime soon.

There is nothing wrong about hearing Trammell! But if this continues through next week, won't it get kind of boring hearing Trammell music then?

Nope keep his music on i been waiting for this to happen for a while and it came true

I had Trammell here on HD for almost on month straight back in November/December, and it didn't get old.
-
Trammell music played for years. Don't think anyone who's experienced it could say that it got "old". B)

Yeah, but it was interspersed with other tunes, too.
Yeah, I love the Trammell tunes, but it's really starting to get repetitive. Trammell nowadays is supposed to be "special". Seven days worth isn't that special.
-
Certainly not!
-

I have to agree. I like Trammell, but I wouldn't like 24/7 of just Trammell. It would be better if it was "mixed in" with other songs. 24/7 of just Trammell would get annoying after a while IMO.
-
If the Trammell continues this weekend, I'll record some XL clips and post 'em.
I just remembered that since my computer is in the shop getting repaired (fried the power supply which in turn fried the motherboard - thanks mother nature and her random thunderstorms), I have no ability to record any XL clips. I could record them with my digital camera video feature, but I have no way to download my camera until I get my system back, as my temporary laptop from work has no card reader.
So I apologize that there will be no XL clips of Trammell this go around, that is, unless I get my computer back before Trammell Fest ends.

Do you have a VCR? If so, you can record some clips to a VHS tape and then get them to your PC when you have your tuner back.
-
No VCR. Got rid of that a while ago. I tried to get some Weatherstar Jr clips a year or so ago from the cable system in my friend's barn, but never got around to getting a VCR hooked up for it, and the x'fering from VCR to computer I couldn't figure out anyway. He shut down the cable system unfortunetly... but I did see the Jr in the rack unit, think he sent it back to TWC.

His music is amazingly fitting for rainy days, for some reason.

What year is it again? :P

Well, I just wish they'd shake up the music again if they continue.
It's been a while since I've heard some of my favorite songs from disc 1.

Same here. I like to listen trammell but after 5 days and only hearing 2 days of the august playlist, it gets annoying.

Trammell at 12:38 PM ET.

Trammell again at 12:48 PM ET.

Trammell again at 12:58. Looks like its back to the old drawing board for TWC. :P
-
Trammell again at 1:08 PM ET.

Trammell once again at 1:08.
EDIT: Somehow Billy beat me to it. He musta had the Post Reply screen up and ready to go. :P

Something must be really wrong with the satellite forecast system...
-
Trammell at 2:29 PM ET.
-
3:59pm et
-
I've been hearing the August playlist since I got home from work around 5-6pm EDT
-
It has gone back to normal since 3:28PM CDT.
Something must be really wrong with the satellite forecast system...
I've also notice between 12:58PM & 3:20PM CDT that after the LF is finished, the Trammel feed and the satellite LF ran for 5 to 10 more seconds before resuming to programming.
-
"The Setting Sun" at 5:38 PM ET.
-
"The Setting Sun" at 8:38 PM ET.
-
Treammell cut into LF 9:38 AM ET.
-
12:38P
-
I saw the emergency feed (?) at 4:28 PM CDT (if I remember correctly).
-
Trammell again at 7:38 CT. Did they bring back that bug from last year somehow?
-
I heard his song at 7:38 CT, too.
-
Trammell at 7:08 PM ET.
-
Trammell at 11:28 AM ET.
-
12:48, and 12:58 PST Trammell
-
Another Trammel song at 3:28PM CDT.

I am currently hearing TSLF 4 (I think). I saw a glitch at the beginning of the Local on the 8s.
[2008-08-27T15:29-0500] Update: texasstooge simulpost'd.
[2008-08-27T15:39-0500] I hear more now...
Now I hear Evenin/Pier 32! It changed in the middle of the LF.
[2008-08-27T15:49-0500] I hear one of the newer tracks now...
[2008-08-27T15:58-0500] Now it is silent!
-
Before Trammell was playing along with the emergency feed; that last go-around was silent but with the regular satellite LF.
-
5:18 PM ET still a silent LF.
-
Trammell at 5:28 PM ET.
-
I hear TSLF 3/Jumpin/Crazy Pianos.
More at 4:48 PM CDT...
[2008-08-27T16:58-0500] I hear A New Day...
-
Trammell at :58 past
-
More at 5:08 PM CDT...
[2008-08-27T17:59-0500] I hear Smooth Sailing.
[2008-08-27T18:09-0500] I hear Evenin again.
-
Trammell at 7:58 PM ET.
-
Trammell at 8:08 PM ET.

Something's really broken with the Satellite LF computer today. I actually recorded this afternoon, and when the problem first started, there was music from the regular playlist, but the video was all blue with occasional gray/black horizontal bars. After a few LFs, the video changed to gray static during some LFs and green static during others. After an hour or two, the video came back, but now there's no audio, so they continue to switch to the emergency feed a few seconds into each LF.
-
So ya think this will be a prolonged outage?
Anyway, no surprise, Trammell at 8:18 PM ET.
-
Trammell at 8:38 ET.
-
We're back in business here at 7:58 CT!
-
Trammell + emergency feed at 3:11 PM ET. Lasted for about 20 seconds.

My ldl has gone crazy. There is the old black clock overtop the blue ldl and there is no lf.
-
1:03 AM ET. Forecast Earth blacked out for about 30 seconds, then emergency feed + Trammell kicked it.
-
"Rainy Days" appeared for a second during a commercial.
EDIT: and again as I speak
-
9:37 PM ET during commercial break. Trammell and emergency feed appear...
-
IntelliStar is in, with Trammell
-
LF music back
-
Right after the LF finished, they segued to a black screen with the logo at the bottom right, and then after about 30 seconds the satellite LF with Trammell kicked in for about 5 seconds.
-
I also heard the tail-end of "Rainy Days" by Trammel Starks after waiting on baited breath for the Hurricane Ike updates.
I personally think the Trammel feed should be used on TWC while on "Storm Alert" mode.
-
Trammell at 10:48 PM ET.
-
Satellite LF just failed; track 10 is playing over the emergency feed right now.
-
Satellite LF at 9:38 AM ET this morning. TWC kept going black a few times during the 9 AM hour which likely caused this to happen. The LDL appeared fine after the LF.
-
Trammell at 11:28 AM ET.
-
Black screen for 2~ Mins and then Trammell.
-
Yeah, that was really weird. It took them forever to finally realize something was wrong; by that point, they might as well have let the LF run to completion; there were only like 15 seconds left anyway.
-
Yup.. and our LDL on DTV is still not working!
-
Maybe that hiccup was related to the interactive feature; perhaps something went haywire over there when they tried to activate it?
Anyway, you say there's no LDL on DirecTV right now? How about the interactive feature? I wonder if we'll see that during the ICHT LF or not... Even so, it's pretty silly that you can only activate it during the LF since it's all done locally on your box anyway. :/
-
Just now after the 1:25 CT segment, the commercial came on, but the LDL was still on; a few seconds later, the national feed blacked out for about 10 seconds before the emergency feed kicked in for maybe 5 seconds; then the commercials came back, and the LDL went away.
-
Emergency feed running at 5:07 PM ET.
-
They are having an error now.
First, I saw the DirecTV Local on the 8s feature, then when that ended, I saw the satellite LF.
Update before I even post: beanboy89 just simulposted.
-
Something is really messed up. At 5:08 PM ET, they stopped the emergency feed, and commercials cut in with the LDL running. They then turned the LDL off, but the control room still had the TWC logo in the corner. Then finally at 5:10 PM, PM Edition came back, totally skipping the LF.
-
I noticed the bug over the advertisements...
Anyway, it is now back to normal.
-
And the problems continue. The local forecast cues at 5:44 PM ET.
-
There's an LDL overlapping the commercials now.
-
I saw the emergency feed briefly after Forecast Earth a few minutes ago.
-
"Winter Tundra" at 3:39 PM ET.
-
More Trammell at 3:48 PM ET.
-
Wow, seems odd to have a music problem on the first day of the new playlist.
-
It happened back on August. Just 2 days after the August playlist started, there was a week long Trammell fest.
-
Wow, seems odd to have a music problem on the first day of the new playlist.
It might not necessarily be a music or playlist problem. The satellite LF could've failed again.
-
"Jumpin'" at 3:58 PM ET.
-
Wow, seems odd to have a music problem on the first day of the new playlist.
It might not necessarily be a music or playlist problem. The satellite LF could've failed again.
I have it recorded. A sudden blue screen popped out of nowhere.

I've been told that such a screen has appeared several times over the last few LF's.
-
Yep, I saw a blue screen appear just before the IntelliStar kicked in here...
Trammell continues at 4:08
-
More Trammell...looks like the DBS Local has indeed failed...really nasty screen peeked out before my IStar kicked in.
-
The perfect time for Trammell. I mean I like his music, but right when the playlist starts?
-
I'll take Trammell any day, any time. :D
-
4:18 PM EST
Did some Trammell Music just play?
-
Normal music to start off at 4:28 PM ET, then Trammell kicks in.
-
I just got my first Trammell Video.
AWESOME!
-
"Reflections in Time" to end the 4:38 PM ET LF.
-
It stopped
-
screen went black at 11:55am et then sat lf with trammel for 3 seconds
-
Trammell + emergency feed after a failed attempt of the :25 segment on the master-controlled EEWC.
-
"Going home" at 7:51am EST
-
Trammell at 7:48 PM ET.
-
11:28 AM ET. LF starts out silent, then Trammell kicks in.
-

holy smokes your fast on this!
-
Billy is quick with this stuff. (http://f.imagehost.org/0537/krob.png)
-
Master can't figure out how to play videos on EEWC, so after a few lengthy black screens and frozen EE logos, they gave up and resorted to the emergency feed and Trammell.
-
EE has so many technical issues  Glad I was recording when it happened atleast
-
Same thing as last hour. Apparently they didn't reshoot the segment.

This video was posted on socool's old account which got suspended.

Gary-
Yes, Moby was on the LF but I had to get out of bed, and wait for my tuner to load before I was able to catch it, s I missed about a minute. :hmm:
The video was removed because, like localonthe8's said, my accountwas suspended. :censored:
That video posted above can be seen here:

Song is "Here Comes The Rain" right? :hmm:

-
Stars cued early after SS with Trammell, then some bizarre blue screen w/music for 20 secs after.
-
That was really strange.... O_o

Trammell at 8:59 PM ET.
-
Silent LF at 9:08 PM ET.
-
posting a recording at 9:18pm
-
Is this happening on TWC HD?
-
silent 9:18 LF
-
It's silent because all there is running in the background is a TITAN national satellite/radar loop constantly.

Hmm I was wondering what you satellite people were seeing.
-
Hmm I was wondering what you satellite people were seeing.
Well after the lf ended at 8:30, a blue screen with streaks appeared as with Trammell playing in the back. Then there was silent music on the LF and the blue screen appeared again.
-
What the heck is playing now?
-
A cut of Weather Plus music :(
The same one over and over again.
-
Interesting playlist issue...
-
Are sat viewers still seeing the loop of titan?
-
How on earth did WxPlus music end up on TWC?
-
Apparently TWC has a copy of it now?
-
I hope they haven't done something stupid like decide to use the WxPlus music for the emergency feed and do away with Trammell. :o
-
The emergency feed was broken as well; apparently it was just a blue screen with a horizontal black line through it.\
-
My guess it was a 2nd backup or something they did real quick to get something on the lf. :dunno: Trammell did play at first.
-
Very strange indeed.
-
I caught most of the music issue last night, but missed the Trammell at 8:30, I got home 20 minutes later
I wonder if this will happen again?
I really want to catch Trammell so bad! :)
-
Here's a video of the Weather Plus music playing over the national Radar/Satellite:

3:18 AM ET
-
Trammel again now (318 AM EST)
-
appears to be a scheduling problem.. at 3:24, alexendra steel says its half past the hour and goes to a thing from julie martin, then the program was cut and went to long play of commercials mostly storm stories/tornado week.. LF comes on at 3:27.. out of normal bounds..
-
3:34 AM ET
-
Yeah, the whole network schedule is all messed up, see the General TWC Discussion thread.
-
A minute of silence followed by a minute of Trammell from the emergency feed during the :08 LF. The satellite LF failed yet again.
-
The 11:59 PM local forecast started completely silent and flipped over to Trammell Starks music and an emergency feed for the last 30 seconds.

After seeing your video, I think I may have a clue as to why I briefly heard music but you didn't: I was watching it in HD, so I wasn't seeing the IntelliSTAR but rather the HDSTAR. Besides, the music was on for so short a time that no one would have been able to get a good recording of it, so it's a very weak sighting.
-
1:00am, WCWC didn't start, thus 2 minutes of emergency feed.

I can't see it, it's too small and too low quality. Even so, the time does no good if I don't know what date it was taken, which does not display on the LDL or in satellite. :dunno:

Following the 2:18 AM EDT LF, WC did not come back on, and there was 15 seconds of black/silence. Then, a Satellite Feed with Trammell came on, for about a minute. For a split second, an image for a Gold Bond commercial showed, before WC came back on.

No, the second song was Tropical Breeze. I don't know what Matt's title is, but I know it's not that.

This is certainly saying something if we have had this much Trammell in the past month. There was a 2 hour, 52 minute outage back on 5/18 and another small sighting on 5/22. I wonder what the cause could be :dunno:
-
"Pier 32" at 4:48 AM EDT!

Wow, this has got to be the longest since last August. I recorded a few clips last night, anyone interested?

Wow, this has got to be the longest since last August. I recorded a few clips last night, anyone interested?
Most definitely, I'll be able to view them after school :)
-
Well, I guess it is time to "Jumpin" to school :bleh:
"Jumpin" plays during the last LF before I have to head off to a Chemistry and English final at 6:58 AM EDT!
-
Well, if TWC would be on our school's TV Network, I would watch, but I'm just so scared to reveal I'm a TWC fan. :noexpression:
-
I wish they would just play all 39 songs and stop playing only a handfull of them, it's beginning to get repetitive. :hmm:
-
Since this Trammell-A-Thon began, has anyone who has an IS noticed that the Satellite LF keeps popping in a quick second before the IS starts?
-
I have!!

LDL over sattelite lf!!

The Weather Channel HD is running the normal playlist again, but the Trammell continues on my LFs. And yeah, I noticed that the satellite feed comes on for a split second before the LF starts, too.
-
I wish they would just play all 39 songs and stop playing only a handfull of them, it's beginning to get repetitive. :hmm:
I've been hoping that they one day play the 40th Trammell song in it's entirety, since not even he has the song anymore.

I Recorded 6 hrs worth of trammell

I would love if After the Rain was able to play during this outage, too bad it's not gonna happen. :(

Yep, I have noticed that, I wonder why it is happening? :dunno:
-

It's because the emergency feed is running instead of the normal satellite LF.

And to go along with that, the feed doesn't fade in like it's supposed to.
Also, did it just get interrupted by a commercial?

No, they only show 1min flavors at :08 and :38 of the hour then go to a quick commercial then back to DP I think this is only when Day Planner is on.
-
And to go along with that, the feed doesn't fade in like it's supposed to.
Yeah I noticed that. I don't have an IS, but in addition to Trammell, the satellite LF is not starting where it's supposed to. So I guess there's something wrong in addition to the music. :dunno:
-
As much as I love these Trammell Outages (and believe me, I do!), both of the outages in the past 3 weeks have come at awful times. I have final exams this week, and I need to study more. This is distracting to say the least, but nevertheless, I am stoked about this outage, since this is unheard of to me! :thrilled:

Well, the reason why Trammell is playing instead is because the "Emergency LF" is a Sat LF that is in continuous loop along with the audio, so they might be doing something such as repair, or who knows what they're doing! Hah.

You know, I never thought about that. Repair could be a possibility, but to what though? This is definitely the longest outage since last August, but will have to last near a week to be the new longest outage in TWC history. I love Trammell music, which is why this outage has been most of what is on my mind today!
-
I apologize for the double posting here.
Anyway, these two outages in the past month beg the question as to why there have been two in a month's time. What is behind it? I had theorized the last one on May 18th was due to the new flavors which were being tested, conveniently on the same day. I am really curious, as this is interesting. I certainly have gotten more than I had originally expected! :thrilled:  :D
-
Since this Trammell-A-Thon began, has anyone who has an IS noticed that the Satellite LF keeps popping in a quick second before the IS starts?
I have noticed that with the DirecTV Local on the 8s feature.
-
Well, it seems as though the LFs are starting out silent. The Trammell-a-thon is still going strong though! :thrilled:

*Evan2015 slowly raises hand*
It certainly could be. There are several difference this time. The circumstances which are likely to be causing this outage and the one we had last month are even more significant. The flavor changes are messing evrything up, and TWC is having consistent and significant audio problems. The messing with the playlist could also be part of it.
-
or the computer that runs the Satellite LF could've gotten a BSOD. The HD Feed is fine. :noexpression:

When the outage first began, the HD feed had static or periods of silence. I did hear Trammell once on the HD feed yesterday evening, but it's all fine now as Zach said.

The computer that runs the Sat LF doesn't run on Windows, so that wouldn't happen.

Does Trammell still ever play when the normal satellite forecast is running? I know it used to be like this, but I haven't seen it happen since like 2007. Ever since, it's always been the emergency feed playing during the LOT8's whenever Trammell's playing.

It was like that on the major 7/28/08 outage.

Guess their whole Rock playlist didn't go over too well. :whistling:
I wonder if they listened to our complaints, or if something went wrong. I've often wondered what their music setup is like.

Yeah same. They could've fooled the playlist next week, once I get all the clips up. I really wanted to hear the overnight playlist, specifically "Make it Work" by Jeanne Ricks which has sax (I've never heard sax in Jeanne's music) and "Allure" by Ryan Farish.

Wow, I noticed that the music ended early at 6:58 AM EDT, and a second of the WUWA promo played, before we saw a very brief appearance of the emergency feed with Trammell. Then, YWT came in as normal.
-
They just played like 5 seconds of Trammel at 1:13 PM PDT...and then went to commercial...weird..I know.
-
Long black screen at 12:19 PM CT, then they cut to the emergency feed with Trammell.
-
That was the first time I had ever seen/heard such an error in a public place.
Something happened during the 12:18 CDT LF mentioned in the previous post. Then, at 12:20, the emergency feed appeared with "Rainy Days" playing. This ended at 12:23 CDT, then displayed an animated Day Planner logo with music, then the emergency feed appeared again at 12:23 CDT, then there was a Day Planner/OCM segment late in the minute (12:23 CDT), then it was normal. The 12:28 CDT LF was normal.

"A Loss For Words" transitioned to Trammell barely a second before the text based came on during the 10:58 PM EDT LF. The WUWA promo played, but it does look as though the teasers failed, as the emergency feed came right back on after the promo. Both Mike and I caught clips.

Like I said, the normal Satellite LF is not working. It's completely black, so they're switching over to the emergency feed for satellite viewers.
That being stated, the Trammell continues at 12:58 PM ET.
-
Seems like the issue is fixed as of 1:08 PM ET. The LF started out with the Satellite LF frozen on screen for a fraction of a second and then it was reset and the LF restarted like normal a few seconds later.
-
Does Trammell still ever play on the regular satellite LF? I haven't seen this occur since the summer of last year.
-
Very brief emergency feed + Trammell before going to break at 11:24 AM ET.
-
A few seconds of emergency feed after extended black screen to start the 12:10 PM ET segment.
-
Emergency Sat LF with Trammell playing, IDK when it started, I just turned on TWC a minute ago.
EDIT: It's over now.
-

It started at 5:50 CT. I watched the whole thing.

EDIT: It's over now.
Same here, and it started again at 7:03 PM EST
EDIT: Ended for the commercial break at 7:06 PM EST
-
And it's off again, it did the same thing as last time. The audio dropped at it cut to the sat forecast.
6:03 CT to 6:06
-
I smell something fishy going on...
-
Heard two different Trammell songs at 6:38 PM EST when I was over in Lansing... and the Home Alone theme cut to "Do You Believe?" at 7:07 there.
-
Jumpin is now playing at 6:28 pm Central Time.
-
7:38 pm: First, normal song, then cut to a Trammell song after about 5 seconds, then again cut to another Trammell song after about 10 seconds.
-
Trammell at 11:58 AM ET.

More Trammell at 12:08 PM ET.

Wow, I didn't think it was possible, but a WUWA LF song just cut to Trammell mid-LF
-
Just happened again...
-
Trammell from 7:30-7:34 PM ET.
-
HD LF died to black screen in 7:28 LF, theirfore playing emergency SD LF with Trammell in LF's afterwards.
LF's are starting with cue'd music, then flipping to emergency feed.
-
Trammell at 6:48pm EDT - Phish plays for a few seconds before abruptly stopping, then the LF goes silent before Trammell kicks in at the end.
-
Trammell at 3:10 C.T. this afternoon due to a switch to the emergency feed for a couple of seconds. I'm afraid I don't know the title of the song, unfortunately.
-
Trammell at 3:10 C.T. this afternoon due to a switch to the emergency feed for a couple of seconds. I'm afraid I don't know the title of the song, unfortunately.
That was Late Night Cafe. There was a brief test screen prior to the emergency feed that showed what looked like Alexandra in front of it.
-
Trammell sighted a couple minutes ago when there was no feed

Edit: Commercials are working on HD now.
Now K flavor normal primetime then back to trammell.
the HD LDA Tried to cue then was stopped right when the screen was pushed to the right side.
-
ya only the studio feed is being nationaled with the trammel or random LF msuic.. commercials and actual local forecasts are still running correctly, sd feed has the ldl as well.. you heard them just try to come back with intro msuic (7:25) only to have the national and trammel over run it.... its been like this since 7pm.. maybe earlier..
-
and after 30 mins of outage, they are back on the air
-
Yep, found it looking through my footage. Hmm, haven't seen a solid 30 minutes off the air in a while.
-
7:48 PM ET. Blacked out LF with music, and then Trammell and emergency feed.
Intellistar appears to be down. Seeing the national LDL post-LF.

LDL seems to still be down i just saw national LDL ^^^ before the 8:15pm EDT break
-
Still down, also local cable provider isn't inserting ads at the :16 spot like they usually do.
-
Trammell at 10:08 PM ET.
-
More Trammell at 10:18 PM ET. This time the emergency feed cued right away instead of a long black screen with playlist music at the beginning, like the previous two Trammell LFs (7:48 and 10:08)
-
Happened again at 10:28, and I think there was a short appearance of the black screen, which then transitioned to Trammell of course.
-
Black screen and then Trammell at 10:38 PM ET.
-
More Trammell at 10:48 PM ET.
edit: and again at 10:58 PM ET. Also, no top-of-the-hour TWC bumper at 11 PM ET.
-
Nice to have a break from the terrible primetime playlist. :)
-
@ 11:08
HD Feed has Primetime working after having the emergency feed earlier.
-
Trammell at 11:18 PM ET. IntelliStar cued this time.
-
Wow, that was fast Billy. I was wondering if this would happen at some point.
-
Wow, that was fast Billy. I was wondering if this would happen at some point.
All of the IntelliStars must've been rebooted. There was only one frame of radar data at 11:18.

Trammell at 11:18 PM ET. IntelliStar cued this time.
Radar Frozen on the istar so most likely a reboot.
Weatherscan Radar rebooted too. it says Past 10 Mins

Evening playing now
-
Well, I'll be catching some of it. I had already shut off my tuner since the song that aired on the 10:58 LF was one I caught at 10:28. Why does this stuff happen so often when I am not in the position to record it?
-
So far ad's are working hopefully this outage continues

Now you know how I feel sometimes. Hmm, this outage went all the way until commercial break. Something must have gone wrong.
-
This is the largest Trammell outage in a while! I am recording the Satellite Feed....What exactly went wrong?
EDIT: More Trammell at :10!
-
Mid lf failure & LF recue's at the beginning
-
I smell another January '08 scenario
-
this is rediculiously long.. in commercial break but i dont expect that to last long

It's over :itsok:

"A New Day" at 12:18 PM ET.

Trammellfest 2010!
-
Yay!! More trammell at :58
-
I've recorded all of it and will be uploading it shortly B)
-
is it still going on or did i miss it?
-
I still heard Trammel Starks as of 2:28PM EST.
-
Oops, it seems as though YouTube won't let me upload 30 minutes of Trammell.....the limit is 10 minutes ( :rofl2:).....and Vegas wants to take 9 hours to render a 6 minute video
-
so this is only on the SD LF feed of TWC
It never plays trammell on the HD LF
-
so this is only on the SD LF feed of TWC

Actually, I have heard Trammell Starks on HD multiple times. Just take a look at this video from socool775:
TWC [HD] Local Forecast Glitch- 3/04/10 1:08 AM EST (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WNVtwtiyXU#)

It never plays trammell on the HD LF
Yes it does.
-
The HD Feed did have trammell on from 11am to 11:30am minus the time of commercials and normal lf's (:08 - :28)
-
Still more Trammell!! 3:28 PM EST .
-
i meant trammell starks with the hd local forecast running successfully with NO issues
-
i meant trammell starks with the hd local forecast running successfully with NO issues
That hasn't happened since 2007. The only way for that to happen is for the music side of TWC to fail. In this case, the computer the Satellite LF uses isn't functioning properly, so instead of having black with no music, they cue Trammell.
-
According to my dad, it was back to normal at 6:08 ET, and I can confirm 6:18 ET was normal.
-
Emergency Feed at 9:36 AM EDT

TWC Blooper - June 23, 2010 - 1:25 PM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Tqe0jm6W9Y#)
-
The 8:58 PM ET local forecast failed, causing the emergency feed to be cued up. Eventually, the local forecast did properly cue, but was abruptly cutoff right at the top of the hour for the Brian Williams oil spill special.
-
It's unfortunate the WEATHER update on The WEATHER Channel had to be cut-off by some stupid NEWS update. I would rather watch the emergency feed with Trammell than this oil-spill special nonsense. <_<
-
TWC Trammell Starks Error - June 25, 2010 - 7:58 PM (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nyi4v00dlk#)
-
I turned on TWC at 6:10 ET only to find the LF just beginning (no clue why). The LF was followed by a TWC sponsor ad, then the emergency feed came on immediately after that and stayed on for less than 30 seconds. Then they aired a few commercials before cuing up a 1:30 LF at 6:14 ET. The Weekly Planner then came on at 6:16, and that's what's on right now.
(Update: They ran a really long "something" block at 6:20 to get back on schedule.)
-
Emergency feed breaks in at 4:22 PM ET.
-
Well, I think we have another Trammell A Thon 2010 on our hands....Trammell has been on for the past 30 minutes on the LF because the Satellite LF is not cueing. :D
-
:58
-
Ah, how great it is to have a tuner...record anytime, anywhere. It's wierd how TWC is like triggering them to end on the radar still.
-
Sorry for the double post, but it looks like this "Trammell A Thon" has ended as of the :08 LF.
-
Regular music + traffic is back.
-
The official Trammell count today was 3
:38, :48, and :58
I recorded them all in case someone missed them :D

11:50 AM ET. Mic fail on Weekend Now prompted Trammell and emergency feed.
Wow. I remember an issue 20 years ago with Bill Keneally and Marc Mancuso with microphones not working... but they just rolled with it and did the best they could until the next commercial break and local forecast. Back then, there were only two choices for an "emergency feed": a textual Travel Cities Forecast or a black screen, and they certainly tried to avoid that unless there was literally no other choice.
These days, it seems that they're much more comfortable going to an emergency feed, or the number of technical problems has vastly increased. :dunno:
-
"Life" heard during the 1:18 LF, both HD and SD.
-
2:18 pm ET LF on SD however HD had normal music

(4:08pm ET - 5:08pm ET) lHDl ESF = Emergency Satellite Feed
I don't even know why there was an ESF. The HD and SD LF cued normally, but seconds into the HD LF, Trammell kicked in...while the SD LF kept going strong.
EDIT: I rewound my DVR and found that there was another ESF at 4:58PM ET....the HD LF cued with the NW Forecast....no LDL on the forecast, and Portland was showing the infamous "white box" in place of an icon. Recording coming soon.
I have a nag that this is related to the new squeezeback.
-
Trammel at 12:58; seems to be some technical problems

During YWT at about 6:50 CT, there was a mic fail followed by a black screen, which triggered some Trammel for about a minute, with the ads/show name and the special blue bar (not the LDL). It then went back to YWT. Stephanie was saying "We apologize for the technical—" and it went back to Trammel for a few seconds and then ended with Stephanie saying that the issue would be fixed.
-
Trammell at 5:28PM ET
-
Sorry, I didn't hear a Trammell song or anything, but are Trammell sightings much rarer on the IS 2? I think they both run on different music systems because I remember a time when the regular IS had a Trammell outage and the HD local forecast was fine. I hardly ever hear Trammell anymore because all I watch is the IS2 now.

IIRC, they used to have their own seperate music systems, resulting in hearing a different song on each feed. I think this was changed on 6/2/08 (or somewhere around there).

"Going Home" at 5:58 PM EDT last night.
-
"Going Home" at 5:58 PM EDT last night.
Damn, you beat me to it.
At the same time on the satellite feed, the SD national LF failed to cue, so there was a black screen with an ad, and then Trammel.

Trammell for a split second at 11:06 AM ET after commercials failed to cue.
-
Jumpin at 9:29 PM EDT (emergency feed came on as LWU didn't cue.)
-
Emergency feed at 9:30 PM ET.
-
I have to wonder what's causing all of these emergency feeds. "All of these" is in comparison to the 1980s and 1990s, when I watched TWC religiously. Back then, it seemed like a technical problem disrupting programming happened on an extraordinarily rare basis, or at least it was done in such a way that the audience wouldn't know.
But now we have a whole thread about emergency feeds. Hmm... :dunno:
-
Last night at 6:30, no LWU. Last song in the lineup (name escapes me), beginning of "Jumpin'"

5:58 PM ET

4:38 PM EDT I haven't heard TS in a long time.
EDIT: Offtopic, my 3500th post! Woo! :D :P

Trammell at 2:58PM PT ;)
-
At :18, instead of the SD SLF, there was a black screen with the generic "follow us on" ad, and Supernova was playing, then it went to the emergency feed for the rest of the LF.
-
Correct me if this isn't Trammell.
Trammell Starks? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIzEJKax8TY#ws)

He's kickin in again right now.

Trammell Fest indeed! :D
EDIT: I didn't notice this at first, but it seems Trammell is only appearing on local forecasts that aren't 2 minutes. It was regular music at 1:28am
-
Again at :49.

Trammell Fest '11 continues at 7:18 AM ET.
-
7:38 AM ET
I'm recording this all day, and will get some clips up when I get home from school.
-
The SLF seems to be fixed at the 10 AM hour :(
-
I managed to fire up my DVD recorder last night before I went to bed to record some more Trammell in the 10PM PT hour. I found some more Trammell and will post the clips later today ;)
-
Guess who's tuner failed last night after recording several hours of local forecasts?
You got it! Me.
EPIC FAIL TO THE 10TH DEGREE

Trammell Fest 2011 continues at 5:28 PM ET.

7:58pm to 8:28pm on the HD Feed this past evening (8/29)
The Weather Channel's HD Local Forecast Feed Error 8/29/11 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCUEus03Lrw#ws)
-
Briefly appeared at 5:49pm EDT.
-
Wow, right when the first primetime song of the list was playing at :08, there was Trammel. It happened since the SD SLF cued late.
-
Trammell at :28.
-
Trammell at :55
After the commercial break, there was a black screen and you could hear Crystal say "It's still on MAX". Trammell then kicked in.

Trammell feed at 10:15AM PT for a few seconds.

Trammell feed at 10:15AM PT for a few seconds.

Trammell at :36, then again at :38 when the IStar didn't cue.
-
I caught the last few seconds of the latter one.
-
I caught the last few seconds of the latter one.
I managed to catch both of them
-
Trammell at :48 then again at :54 :)
-
I caught about the last 3 seconds of last night's Trammell Starks outage, but didn't bother posting it on YouTube because it was about a 5 second clip right around 10:54pm EDT, making it pointless to post IMO because it was so brief.
-
At 4:28 PM CT, there was a black screen, so then it went to Trammel for the rest of the LF.
-
Trammell feed at 9:06 PT, which is perfect timing because I'm just about order those Local Forecast Music CDs of his
-
Since this wasn't reported, I heard Trammel play on the IS at 10:08am this morning, The HD LF was playing Ryan Farish from the regular playlist. I don't know if Trammell played prior to or after that LF also.

6:08am CT this morning during the entire LF.
-
It's been playing for about the past 3 or 4 LFs now.
-
Trammell at :03 past when commercials failed to cue, also gave us a glimpse of the new station ID, a dock fading into a foggy lake. Switching between Trammell and Eminencr Front during the :08 past LF.

Will be posting the video when I get home from school
-
Not sure if the SD SLF didnt cue, but the HD LF didnt, and both feeds went to Trammell at 10:48 AM ET
-
HD SLF didn't cue again at :58, went to Trammell while SD feed remained normal.
-
Trammell on just HD again at :08.
I smell Trammell-A-Thon
-
Back to normal at :18, but that's a 1:00 flavor, so we'll see...
-
Graphics failed to cue at :28, we only saw the background and the LDL (which was functioning correctly)...then cut to Trammell.
-
I wouldnt quite call this a trammelfest only to the extent in which these errors are only occurring on the HD feed and majority sees sd feed.. :hmm:
EDIT: Yeah, not a trammellfest.. 2:00 LF at 11:58 is normal
-
There was Trammell at 2:58PM PT, according to this video:
TWC Satellite Local Forecast Error from December 2011 #1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=US2tsrQ9RP8#)

The 6:58 PM CT SD sat LF started with Gut Feeling playing over a black screen, then it went to Trammel.

The HD LF did the same, and IntelliStars did not cue.

Yep, and there is more Trammell at 10:08AM PT.
-
I figured.. because I heard Trammell at 1:08 on the SD feed with T. Monk on the HD feed... DVD recorder is rolling now :)
-
7:48 PM EST
-
There was Trammell briefly at 5:42PM PT when the "Weather Now" segment failed to appear. I did not notice this until I saw the DVD I recorded.
-
Trammell at 5:19 PM ET
-
There was Trammell for a few seconds at 8:08AM PT before the LF segment.
-
Trammell at 2:09PM PT
-
I saw the Trammell feed for a split second at around 11:10AM PT during "Day Planner"
-
Saw the feed for a few seconds at 10:36AM PT, featuring Ryan Farish.
Might as well rename this topic to "Emergency Feed Sightings" since Trammell is no longer heard during the feed. Why did they get rid of Trammell from the emergency feed? It's disappointing and saddening

It has already been stated multiple times here that TWC wants to move towards a more contemporary sound with their musical selections.

I think the word contemporary is such a vague word for them to use to justify wanting to make a change in their music selection. From my understanding, contemporary music would be "modern" music. Smooth jazz may not be the most popular genre of music, but it would be considered modern music if you ask me. I say this also because I have heard of smooth jazz being called contemporary before.

You're not disappointed about it anymore? :O

Where did I say that I was disappointed?

I highly doubt that's the reason. I doubt TWC even cares about the emergency feed, though I could be wrong.

@6:28 AM CT (there was no music at the beginning of the LF)
And again @ :38 and :48
