Here's the reply for the playlist
I still haven’t gotten the August play list, but it will be online as soon as I get it (and possibly before!).
Thanks,
Melissa Medori

That's shocking. :o

So we're gonna hear the same songs again in August...I'm ready to hear what's in store for August but I guess we'll have to deal with the July playlist instead. I have no problem with that. :noexpression:

Interesting. I've been checking back to see what the news is. I wonder if it has anything to do with the launch of the music store next month. theweatherchannelmusic.com. Or they are transitioning out to use the IMI Music people. I find that would be odd since they are launching a store to sell Local Forecast music. Why do that if you're not going to play the artists anymore. Just a thought. :dunno:

I saw this from a google search. Sounds a little old though.
"The Weather is changing! The Weather Channel known for it's smooth sounds of jazz is broadening it's music palette and have joined with IMI to do just that and a whole lot more. Steve Ivey has already begun producing, writing, and creating new sounds for The Weather Channel which you will hear on their station and website starting in May, 2009. Along with these on air changes, IMI will be bringing you new artists, new sounds, new singers, and some great new music via TheWeather
ChannelMusic.com. Soon you will be able to not only visit your favorite place for weather information but you will also be able to stream music of many genres, download music by new artists and well known stars. Stay tuned and we will keep you update on more plans to come. In the meantime keep your eyes on the weather and your ears on the new sounds coming to The Weather Channel."
