Title: Searching for name of tune being played on TWC
Post by: abba on April 27, 2008, 11:10:35 PM
What genius can tell me the title to the piano tune being played a lot this weekend (4/26-27)? Sounds like a cross between Massive Attack and Enigma. Heavy on the piano and has a catchy beat. Can't figure out who it is from TWC April playlist.

First of all, welcome to our forum. We're glad to have you here.  :sunglasses:

That said, try Chris Geith. His tunes are on the April playlist, so check those out. They are all available for sampling at Amazon.com.

Not all of his music is available for sampling. "Green Shadow" is unavailable.

Abba, you can sample music clips on Krishnan's music page. (http://krishnansgeneralstuff.googlepages.com/) If your song is marked with question marks, let me know and I'll ID it for you.

To add on to abba's description, he described the song to me as not being a jazz piece, but rather having a "haunting" sound. Sounds more like a new age piece to me. Anyone have any ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind when I think of haunting is "It's Not Supposed To Be That Way" by E Power (http://krishnansgeneralstuff.googlepages.com/unknown2aprilplaylist.wmv), which at this time is unavailable.

No that wasn't it, lfm-lover. What's with this chat board? I have replied several times to my original thread question, and I can't find half of them. Just wanted to thank those who have helped on the tune search, but looks like that's one of those mysteries that will never be solved. At least I have been able to burn about 10 minutes of the tune to CD.

I'm sure we'll find the song your looking for. Just be patient.  :sunglasses:

As for your replies...you are aware, aren't you, that you've replied to me several times by PM, which does not appear on the board.

That's probably what happened to the missing replies. Operator error, not equipment failure - LOL. I'll take my Mulligan now, since I'm a Newbie.  I'll also try to be more patient and keep the faith.

What time of the day did the song play? Any other instruments besides the piano?

He tells me he found the song. It was Journey To The Light by Ryan Farish.  :sunglasses:
