It's from last month's playlist, "The Big Show" by Yohan Bjork.
oh, and btw I never thought they would use this song on the LF.

Since the October 2012 playlist to me there has been a shift in the types of songs picked.
More newer and obscure rock and pop artists are added and to many songs where the lyrics in general don't have a happy tone to them.

I've noticed it too. Way too many vocal and too few instrumental songs. The overnight playlist even has a substantial number of vocals as well, this was not the case at all earlier this summer.

They used the vocal portion of the song when I DVR'd the list on Tuesday.
-
I see now that the instrumentals are N/A a further decline in the LF product

That's probably the best vocal song on the list. Of course, instrumental would be better.

Is it just because of the holiday playlist being used in December that they kept some of the December regular playlist songs for January?

Hearing Lady Gaga and Imagine Dragons on the LFs this morning...
Since I don't track the playlist music as much as some of you do, it was quite a change. Of course I've heard vocals on the LF before, but these pop songs made it a whole lot different.

Yeah, they really are embracing mainstream pop music in the playlists lately, especially for the morning and WUWA segments. :hmm:
-
Northern Lights at :58

Noticed the original version of "Something Good Can Work "- Two Door Cinema Club
was added to the morning playlist.
Day and evening playlists use the remix version.

They don't "add" songs mid way through a playlist.. maybe you're just hearing them for the first time
-
The non remix version of song was not on the playlist gt1racerlHDl posted and I had not heard them playing it till this week.
Maybe it was used earlier and I missed it or could it mean the playlist is starting to change over?
-
I've watched/listened to the LFs a little each day this week, and I must say that "Life in Stereo" by Ryan Farish is my favorite out of the mostly disappointing songs on the January 2013 playlist. At least it's passable LF music IMHO, and it is instrumental. On the vocal end, I don't mind "Keep Your Head Up" too badly; it's OK.
-
I will have to get that Life In Stereo CD soon. Thankfully Farish's music is still played
-
These are all the songs I like from this playlist.
Auctioneer by The Broken West
Hook by Blues Traveler
Life In Stereo by Ryan Farish
Mr. Jones by Counting Crows
Houdini by Foster The People
Better by Toby Lightman
The Summit by Ryan Farish
Northern Lights by Ryan Farish
Bubmblebee by Steve Jablonsky
Who Are You by The Who
Early Frost by Chris Ball
Exposed To Peace by Nathan Speir
Reception by Ryan Farish
The song I'm GREATLY ashamed to admit I kinda like...
