IMO, it's not necessary to create a topic like this. Just make a playlist topic when the new music rolls out

Until today, I only got to listen to a small handful of songs playing this month and I noticed how there's more smooth jazz/new age & acoustics playing during the daytime compared to the soft rock that's been playing in recent months during those hours.

Does anyone know where I can get All for You by Steve Glotzer and Bossa Me by Norman Fisk? I can confirm the PY tune is not on any album because it is truly unavailable based on what Patrick told me. He composed the song for another project and couldn't find the song at the moment.

I've been uploading songs from the playlist myself with my IntelliStar. Please be sure to watch/rate/favorite/comment them :)

I did that as well, though I may be removing them as I get other clips of them from later in the month for various reasons (related to weather events, some screw-up, etc)

I always try bit torrents. Did you try lala?

I'm trying to learn the names of the songs, I think the second one is "Lights Up The Sky" by Ryan Farish, but I could be wrong.  :dunno:

You've got the ID correct :)

Thank you Aaron, I wanted to be sure because I mistook a Yvonne Ayers song playing in the daytime playlist for a Ryan Farish tune.

Yeah, Heat and Things I See are very similar. I use the time they are aired to distinguish the two, though I know that is not easy for you since your Intellistar is temporarily out.

*Minor update*

It seems "Wipeout" by the Surfaris on the morning playlist has been booted off and replaced with "Empty Chairs" by Yvonne Ayers instead. Did anyone hear any new morning songs?

Has anyone been able to find "All for You" by Steve Glotzer? I can't find it yet in the GMP music library.

Wow, the love theme from "St. Elmo's Fire." They haven't played that since 1986! :o
Heard that today.  Love it.

Can anyone ID this song? It aired on the LF Friday during my lunch, and I am pretty sure it is not a song on the playlist:

Does anyone know if this playlist will continue into November?  That seems to be the recurring trend lately.

Looks like it could be, since no one has mentioned anything about it.

If they go by the pattern they have been this year then yes, it would, but we'll have to wait and see.

There will probably be a Nov list next week or the week after. If there is no Nov music, I'd imagine they'd use the "best-of" 2009 playlist for December like 2 weeks early. I am kinda tired of this playlist already though.

Does TWC use a different version of Soul Finger than the one that's on iTunes? The version on iTunes has a much heavier use of drums in it than TWC's version (which I like better).

They used to always start these playlists at the beginning of the month. Not sure why they decided to stop doing this, makes no sense that they just start it on a random day of the month.

Waiting for Melissa's Response, but none yet the playlist might still be processing through the copyright process until at least Thursday imo.

The music team has a bigger workload lately thanks to four time slots for a monthly playlist and a weekly WUWA playlist that they must fill.  I can see these delays becoming the norm. :hmm:

The WUWA playlist actually changes daily now, so I can see why.

And licensing the songs also plays a big role to the delay of playlists. Licensing smooth jazz songs is straighforwarded, but when licensing songs from big bands and groups this takes more time to get the permission and rights from them.

Yeah, when you add up everything that you both said, it's not shocking at all to see things behind.  I'm pretty sure that TWC is putting out the most LF songs per month in their entire history if my memory is correct on the amounts of songs in previous years.

Same here. I like this playlist, but it's needs to go. I am ready to hear new songs.
