I think that's "The Passage" by CC Gilmore. I'm not 100% sure though.
-
Thanks! according to Weather.com, it aired in May 2004
darn, if only it wasn't unavailable!
-
What does that site offer?
-
What does that site offer?
Music :)
-
I mean do they have music clips or full length songs?
-
Clips, obviously. The site features Frank Josephs and Ray Herrmann which do all of the Samuel Lincoln and CC Gilmore tunes.
-
Yeah it would be illegal for them to have full songs.
-
The only way to get them is to license them and blah blah blah...
-

Not for them, since they are the actual company that produced the songs. Since they are theirs, they can do whatever they want with it. But yes, they need to be licensed :)
-
Illegal for them to have full songs? Isn't MP3.com illegal then? How much does it cost to license music?

No, because they license it. There are hundreds of different licenses. it depends where and how the music is being played. it all costs differnet amount. Usually it costs several hundreds of dollars.
-
MP#.com doesn't have any full clips.

What if you just want it for your own personal use (listen to it on computer, put it on ipod, etc)
-
That's what I want to know.
-
I don't care what purpose you want to use the songs for, its not lawful to download music for free. You have to pay for it from a site like iTunes, etc.

Well of course you have to pay. But how much?
-
I'm not talking about free songs I was just talking about if its possible to license music for your personal use. Like listen it to your ipod, computer, etc.
-
From whom are you wanting to license it?
-
Would someone please post a link to the site, if possible?

I found a clip of "Tempest Wind" by Samuel Lincoln on that site, but it lists the title as "Driving West On Sunset" and the artists as "Frank Josephs and Ray Herrmann".

I found that very same clip. It's a great song!
-
And I also found "Above The Horizon" by Samuel Lincoln, titled as "Still Feels Right" (MPM1.149). Why does this site list the songs under different names and artists?

Samuel Lincoln and CC Gilmore are fake names for the artist Frank Josephs. ;) You can also find Cocoon retitled as "Jus' Playin' With You". I'm gonna see if I can find one of the two samuel lincoln songs played in the overnight list.

So Samuel Lincoln and CC Gilmore are the same person?

Yep.
-
I found one of them played overnight. It's called She Had it All. (http://www.manpowermusic.com/lo-fi/MPM1.64.mp3)
-
I found "On A Roll" by CC Gilmore titled as "Colored Balloons (http://www.manpowermusic.com/lo-fi/MPM1.77.mp3)".
-
I've already tried emailing Frank for those songs, and he never replied. :(
-
Anyone know who Ray Herrmann is?

Anyone know who Ray Herrmann is?
I think he's the saxaphonist in many of those songs. Many of the songs with no saxaphone are credited to only Frank Josephs.
-
i don't know if they'll let you do that. If they did, you would still have to pay hundreds of dollars, i would assume. Might want to try contacting BMI or ASCAP and see what they say...
-
Interesting find!
-
Ray Herrmann is "Samuel Lincoln".
Frank Josephs is "CC Gilmore".
They all work together. I once read somewhere that someone called Frank Josephs about a TWC song, but he (Frank) didn't care.
Thats the music business, for ya...
-
Most of CC Gilmores songs can be found on iTunes under different names, including On A Roll.
-
They have a picture of the two on the site. They look relatively young.
-
yeah, i saw that. Frank looks A LOT different than i pictured him, mentally.

What kind of songs can you find in iTunes from them?
