Post by: Mike M on November 22, 2011, 08:23:45 AM
Mine would have to be Jan/Feb  March/April would be a close second, then July/August.

Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, and Jul/Aug were my favorites. It is hard to really choose a favorite, but I actually think it would be a tossup between Mar/Apr and Jul/Aug. Jul/Aug may be the best overall playlist, because it was the jazziest playlist this year in all the dayparts and after Irene, even more jazz songs were incorporated into primetime.

Big surprise--I, too, found the Jan/Feb playlist to be the most catchy. I would put the one we're in now as a close second, though. I think the music has gotten much better over the past few years. It was never bad before, but I think jazz is more suitable for a local forecast.

"Sierra" by David Keen is my favorite song of the year.

I loved this song, thanks for bringing it up. I had forgotten about it!

Tough year, like I said there were a lot of good playlists. I'd say Jan/Feb would be my favorite one though, followed by the May/June playlist.

I'm the only one that chose May/June, or even a playlist other than Jan/Feb. :P But I have to say, Jan/Feb was a very close second, almost a tie.
