The Weather Channel / The Weather NETWORK UK what star did they use and are there any videos of it?
-
As far as I'm aware, the UK channel didn't use any WeatherStar technology.

Please keep your topic titles shorter.

Actually, I believe they did. I think they may have used the 4000 in the past. I can be wrong (Since I am not even in the UK), but I saw somewhere talking about it. Google it... maybe you'd find something
I do know they did the same thing as "The Weather Channel - Latin America". TWC headquarters closed the UK TWC because it lacked viewers. They ran the 4000... if I am correct, unlike the Latin America TWC that used the modified XL unit. If I can recall, TWC UK ran form 1996-1998, and Latin America ran until 2002/2003. (Please excuse my bad organization in that...)

In all the discussions I've read about The Weather Channel in the UK, I don't remember any mention of a WeatherStar. I could be wrong... I'll have to see if I can find more information.

I don't remember them having a STAR either.

Ditto, and I haven't been to the UK. :dunno:

You bumped a 3 month old topic just to say that?

As a resident of England, I've never actually heard of TWC in the UK until I looked it up on Wikipedia yesterday, so I can't give any info, sorry.

You know in all of the countries I visited (UK, France, Germany, Italy) I have concluded that Americans are actually quite into weather. TWC really is one of kind (for now anyway).
