Was Russ Freeman not in some of The Rippingtons songs? I thought he was the lead guitarist, but the reason I ask is because while most of The Rippington's album say "Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons," but some others such as 20th Anniversary and Wild Card say simply "The Rippingtons."
-
Since you mention their 20th anniversary album it makes me think that perhaps newer releases of them from dont have the branding since they have had a lot of featured artists such as Eric Marienthal included
-
There's an interesting MD interview about the Rippington's on tonymorales.com website (original drummer).
-
"Wild Card" says "featuring Russ Freeman." The only ones that don't are "20th Anniversary" and "Moonlighting."

He also had his own solo album "Drive", which debuted in 2002. I like the group's music, though. Of the classics, my favourites are "Sahara", followed by Moonlighting.

Me too. I loved just about every song from that CD

Where The Road Will Lead Us Now
You got that title wrong. There's no "now" on the end of the title. It's simply, "Where The Road Will Lead Us", which is track #9 on the album, "Weekend In Monaco".
-
So I made a typo, sue me. :P
Seriously, I didn't realize I made that typo.

According to this page (http://web.archive.org/web/20070302224428/http://www.twcclassics.com/music/html/)
Moka Java - April 2000
Native Son of Distant Lands - February 2001
-
I also like "Earthbound" and "Let's Stay Together", both from their album, "Tourist In Paradise".
-
As a kid, I thought Earthbound was the coolest LF song ever. That was when I started to get an idea of when different LF flavors would run. I wanted to record 2 minutes worth of that song.

I really like "One Ocean Way".....the part that never aired on TWC is just as cool as the rest of the song. It is one of my all-time favorites.
