Title: Network Music
Post by: lfmusiclover on October 19, 2008, 11:54:04 AM
For those looking for Network Music tunes featured on TWC in 1993 and 1995, all can be found in full length on Network Music's (now Killer Tracks) website:

http://www.networkmusic.com (http://www.networkmusic.com)

I should clarify that the songs may be LISTENED TO in their full length, not downloaded. However, there is a simple solution if you just use some ingenuity.

I figure someone will ask sooner or later so I thought posting a sticky topic with the information would alleviate the need to ask.

I suppose it's worth mentioning that some of the Chris Geith songs (which are Network songs) that have played on TWC since February 2008 are also on that website.

Only 6 Chris Geith songs are in the Network music library:

they are

For the Touch- June 08 Daytime
Someday Somehow- June 08 Overnight
Allusion- July 08 Daytime
Feels So Right- July 08 Daytime
Natural Stories- August 2008 Overnight
and Open Sky- not used yet

All of them have "Someday Somehow" listed as the album, I'm not sure why. Metropolis had that title too but it's not in the Killer Tracks library.

Network Music is also known as "Killer Tracks".

NM has also been used on The Weather Network and local news promos. Some TV stations use NM cuts for their news opens!

Just wanted to add a little something to this thread, for those who might be interested. If you want the Network Music songs, all are available for download on Amazon for 99 cents each. In fact, the entire Network Music library is there. Beats having to pay hundreds of dollars for access to the music! Hope this hadn't already been mentioned elsewhere.

Yah, I think Chuck posted something about it shortly after it happened. Good news indeed for Network fans! Would have been nice if it had happened BEFORE I spent all that money on the CDs! :hmm:

Yeah that's definitely a bummer!

Here's the full song by the Network Music Ensemble of "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" from YouTube, which aired on The Weather Channel's Local Forecast (only the first two minutes of it were used):

I liked "Local Hero" and "Highway 101".
