Were these songs used before, perhaps in the classic days?
Rippingtons - Girl with the Indigo Eyes, Miles Away, Taos
Lee Ritenour - A Little Bumpin
Gota - Let's Get Started
-
C'mon, not one of you guys know? I thought there was a sizable classic fan community here.
-
Hmm...somehow I missed this topic yesterday. Anyway, the only one used was "Miles Away," which was a BTF in 92/93.

Thanks, I knew the above artists were TWC artists, but I couldn't tell if the songs were used before. Was "Untraveled Path" by Dan Siegel used as well?

How about Carly's Song, This Masquerade, Lisa, and J.T. by David Sanborn? The Road Less Traveled by Joe Sample?

Lisa was used in the late 80s. I think "The Road Less Traveled" was used in 97/98, but I'm not 100% certain. The rest were never used.

HOw about "Seven Years of Good Luck" by Joe Sample? I keep bringing up these songs because I hear them on WFMZ daily. I see TWC used a couple songs from the same album the song is from, Spellbound, but the 1997 playlists are incomplete.

Oh good, so it wasn't just my imagination. I thought I remembered there being an LF on YT with that song in it from the mid or late 90s.
Thanks for finding it.
It would be nice to hear it play again, I think this is one of the best renditions of that song imo.

EDIT: Morning Song was used on TWC however, but in February 2001, again based on an original playlist printout from weather.com

The song "Seduction" is not by Ryan Farish. It's by another artist, that I can't think of right now.

Maybe "Seduction" by Boney James? used in 2003

Maybe "Seduction" by Boney James? used in 2003
Nope, and my mistake. It turns out the artist of the song is "Bassic" and not by Ryan Farish, but the YT video with that song was erroneously credited to Ryan Farish. So, it hasn't played after all. I looked up the Daydreamer tracklist and didn't find "Seduction" in it either.
How about that Stanley Jordan song? It's from the album Dreams of Peace

The song is "Samba Del Luna" by Craig Chaquico & Russ Freeman from the album, "From the Redwoods to the Rockies",but I'm not sure if it played on TWC or not. I also feel like it has though, other songs from that album were featured on the August 2002 playlist.
EDIT: It was used on the July 2002 playlist.

Which ones are now defunct?
-
Now defunct pages include twcmultimedia.com or something like that. There were some playlists from an older version of TWCClassics.com, i think 2004, that had some 80s playlists. Of course the old weather.com website that had the monthly playlist listings from 4Q98 thru 2006 I think. AFAIK I am the only person to have requested the July 2004 playlist. Below are a couple of samples from the aforementioned defunct sites.
