Title: Big WeatherSTAR discovery
Post by: WeatherSTARIII on October 10, 2008, 09:41:49 PM
According to polarbear on Taiganet, he mentioned that the graphics, fonts, icons and scripting that held that all together by the real WeatherSTAR 4000 was created by Mike Scearce. Apperntly, he worked for TWC from 1983 to 1996.

Has anyone heard of him?

I'm not sure how big this is. I'm pretty sure this knowledge has been around awhile, though it may not be very widely known.

And here you have it:

Page 2 has many pics of stuff he did for TWC, including the STAR 4000.

Page 4 goes into detail. He did stuff for the STAR 3 as well, and "remote multimedia initiatives" for the two.

He also designed the original Weather.com. :o And also introduced Macintosh computers as video and print production tools at TWC.
