In the 80's Andrew Korus made a song "Hello There." It's really awesome. Doesw anybody know where I can find it or maybe even find him?
-
It is unavailable, and Andrew is determined that nobody gets a hold of it. Many people have tried, no one has succeeded.
-
Wow, how did you know that?
-
People here have made calls to him, and they either get negative feedback or no answer.
-
I thought someone said that the length that TWC aired was the whole song (1min30sec)
The only way to get the song is to license it from BMI, which no average joe can really do.
-
If someone has put it on Youtube I could record it with Audacity... but I have and only have the first 1 minute.
-
It was the 90's, BTW, not the 80's.
LOL, if anyone ever succeeds in getting the song from Andrew I'd kiss their feet! :P
-
No, it has aired as a two minute flavor. I have a two minute version of the song. If you want it, let me know.
-
Please email it to me! twcfan@-nospam-hotmail-nospam-.com

Could you email me the clip too? I PM'd you my email.

He sounds like a mean person to me.
-
Yeah he is from what I can tell. A friend of Matt M called him and said that he will not sell the song and said to "never call him again."
-
Do they have his number cuz I will pretend to be from a record company and that I need a full clip of Hello There. Then, I will give it to all of you!
-
Yeah he is from what I can tell. A friend of Matt M called him and said that he will not sell the song and said to "never call him again."
Wasn't that Dan or Carlos? Their both members here you know. You can ID them.

Wow,that's just sad.

It may of been, I'm not sure. He just said a "friend of his" called him.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was either Dan or Carlos.

Forget the record idea, I'm going to call as an innocent 12 year old who's birththday is today!

Yep, that's our man.
-
Power of Google Peeps. Always remember that :google2: .
-
That's not him.
-
Yah, its him.
-
No, the one we're looking for is in NYC.
-
No I don't think that's correct.
-
I'm 99.999% positive. If the one in NYC is incorrect, then there is an Andrew Korus in Chicago, who would be the next choice - which could lead to something very interesting.
FYI, if anyone wishes to contact him, or any artist for that matter, you can send BMI you're email/letter/fax, and they'll send it to the person on your behalf. Not that I think it would make any difference in this case. I think ASCAP will do the same.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you come to be so positive that this Andrew Korus is the right one?
I agree about BMi. I don't think it will make any difference at all. At least in this case.

What I did was, I went on his BMI repertoire. He is listed as "ANDREW W. KORUS". So I typed that, including the "W." into Anywho.com or Whitpages.com, and it listed one in New York. Alternatively, there is a match, without the "W." in Chicago, IL. But sometimes middle names/initials are not listed, so I can only be 99% sure.
-
I'm not calling anybody until I know what Andrew's exact number is. I don't want to be calling anybody during dinner. ;D

I see. Well then maybe you DO have the right guy.
-
I called Andrew Korus 5 years ago. It was, in fact, a New York number I remember the area code was 718, which also happens to be my birthplace - Brooklyn, NY. unfortunately he was less than courteous with me. Told me he didnt have the song a CD. Therefore I lost his number and didnt bother calling him again. His # , AFAIK should be on the BMI listing

I knew I had the right guy! :thrilled:
BMI does not list contact information publically. You have to go through them, and even then, they don't give it out. They just relay your message to the person you wish to contact. At least I would hope so. I don't want anyone here getting MY contact info. :P
-
Well since it was so long ago the number for AK was listed, thats how I was able to call him in the first place....Frank Josephs contact info was on there once upon a time, but no longer
-
Just thought I'd pop in to share something with you all. I've located an Andrew Korus in Manhattan, but his phone number is a 212, not a 718. Here is the listing:
http://anywho.com/qry/wp_fap (http://anywho.com/qry/wp_fap)
Anyone bold enough to give it a go?
-
No. :P
But area codes do change, so.. yup. thats him. :)
-
Wow, you guys are really determined to get that song!
-
Actually Gil, I was thinking it might be a cell phone.
Area codes don't change. at least no existing ones. New ones, however, might pop up.
-
212 is the Manhattan code. 718 is the code for Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island.
-
You obviously know a whole lot more about it than me, so I'll take your word for it! :P
-
Mine is 847, with 224 overlay. :)

Yeah I grew up in New York. I go there quite often during the holidays.

Mine is 602, even though it should be 480.
