So many of you are probably aware that Intellistar 2 now has greetings, so basically, I think we should list them all here.
-
I actually made a list myself.
Nobody puts Cantore in a corner.
Wait for it… Wait for it…
Food. Sleep. Weather.
Every stratocumulus has a silver lining.
Free refills with every forecast.
Don't you love the anticipation?
Keep your friends close and your weather closer.
We tweeted this forecast to your golf clubs.
Around here, this is great first date material.
Show me the sunny!
Will you need an ark? We NOAA guy.
We're from the future. (Not really, but we can predict it.)
You did something to your hair, right?
Finally, it's all about you.
Dogs love this forecast too. Just sayin'.
We won't tell you called in sick.
That's a great color on you.
Forget pork bellies, we've got weather futures.
Now you can break the ice.
So you know what to say in the elevator.
Say hello to my little weather friend.
You had us at, "What's the weather?"
A fourth of your closet is perfect for today.
Among weather geeks, you're kind of a big deal.
I see weather people.
It's a need to know situation. And you need to know.
We'll always have this time together.
We watched Baywatch for the great weather.
No fair weather friends here.
By the way, how'd that meeting go?
This day may be turned up to 11.
You're just in time.
We're going to make you an offer you can't refuse.
Coffee? Check. Phone? Check. Weather? Check.
We got you.
-
Show me the sunny!
Never seen this one before.
-
These should be identical to what the Intellistar 1 has, since the LOT8s on both are pretty much identical now. Neither of them should HAVE this feature, but they do. :P
Yes, I've seen "Show me the sunny!"
-
I almost thought they got rid of the "cute" greetings, because on the past couple of LFs I watched, I only saw "Hello, This is Your Weather."
-

That usually shows when there's a weather advisory.

See, I've NEVER seen that - even when we were under the surprise Winter Storm Warnings. I can probably say with certainty that I've seen every "cute" greeting listed here. The Cantore one was worthy of a Facepalm Jim. (Joke on TVNewsTalk.net that you may or may not end up seeing here. :D)

A new one I saw today:
To Gobblers Knob! It's Groundhog Day!

Haha nice! Pretty neat to see little details like that.
-
Will you need an ark? We NOAA guy.
Best of the lot right here.
-
There was also one that said Gobbler's Knob or bust......
-
There was one saying "Phil! Phil Connors?!"
-
Finally, it's all about you.
I'm guessing this is a reference to TWC being selective about certain areas when it comes to live coverage.
Will you need an ark? We NOAA guy.
It's a groaner, but that tops 'em all. :rofl2:
-
*BUMP*
Some more I've seen over the past several months. This list is definitely not complete.
St. Patrick's Day:
Top o' the weather to you!
It's quite easy being green.
DST:
Tomorrow's Pro tip: Double-check the time.
First day of Spring:
If loving spring is wrong…
Mother's Day
Moms know which way the wind blows.
Mom…can you…nevermind.
Memorial Day
Land of the free, home of the brave.
We are humbled and forever thankful.
Beautiful day to fly the flag.
We remember. Do you?
A grateful nation remembers.
Friday the 13th
You hear that little voice every Friday the 13th, right?
-
Although this is not from the IS2, I never knew the HD National Forecast had greetings for holidays.
Here's the first one shown going into the midnight hour of Independence Day.
"Red, White, and Blue Salutes You!"
It replaces the line, "Hello America" which is seen right above the Local on the 8s text on the intro screen.
-
Here's a couple more to add the the St. Patrick's Day greetings:
- That's a great shade of green on you.
- No, not those green pants!
-
During Arthur I got a weird one.
No one gets rid of Cantore.
-
Seeing a new set of greetings on my IS2 here for the past few days.
- Have you called your mother lately? (That's more of a mother's day greeting)
- Tweet @weatherchannel if you're seeing this.
- This is our story, and we're sticking to it.
- Our meteorologists gave this some extra love.
- Pressure is on us to hit the forecast.
- So you have SOMETHING to say to your boss in the elevator.
- It's not a 5 o'clock shadow, it's Local on the 8s.
- The best time to check the weather is now.
- We have made the science out of forecasting the weather.
-
- Tweet @weatherchannel if you're seeing this.
...Because we're not quite sure who we're broadcasting too now.
-
We give it to you straight.
That is one that I see a lot late at night.
-
Saw some new ones today...
"Experience the highs and lows of weather."
"Keep your head up, unless we call for rain."
"We <3 U!"
-
One was :We know you like pina coladas, but not getting caught in the rain
-
Forecasts - Open 24 hours.
-
It's amazing on the 8s!
-
- You're going to love this.
- Listen up!
- Everything you need to know.
- Making the forecast a breeze.

- More than just a fair weather friend.
- Don't worry. I'm a local.
-
Oooh they're getting creative with those precip words:
Do we love the weather?
Hail yeah we do!
-
Blow their minds next time they ask about the weather.
These two fronts walk into an isobar.
OK that's actually pretty funny
-
-In case no one has told you today that you are awesome.
-
Keeps you up-to-date
-
No one keeps Weather in the corner!
