Pacific Watch: Tropical Storm Flossie

Normally I wouldn't bother with any East Pacific storms, but Flossie is worth mentioning, since it looks like she'll have a direct impact on Hawaii around Monday or so as a tropical storm.  B)

Tropical storm warnings are blanketing the entire state of Hawaii now as Flossie approaches with 40 mph winds.  It's rare to see this moment.  Flossie might weaken to a tropical depression just as it reaches the eastern portions of Hawaii, but the mudslide and flood threat will be quite significant given the terrain.

Interesting how this storm is pulling a similar track of 2007's Flossie, except Hawaii is expected to take a direct hit from this storm (2007's storm passed just to the south).
