Title: Summer Thunderstorms/Lightning
Post by: Lightning on July 20, 2013, 02:20:57 PM
I thought I'd start a thread, specifically about summer thunderstorms and the dangerous lightning they produce. Florida may be where the most occur, but we all know that this applies to the whole country. Let's talk about lightning injuries and fatalities in this thread. Where I live, lightning start a house fire and the manager of a Staples store was struck back on Wednesday, the 10th.

BTW, does anyone know that all you have to do is turn on a radio to the AM dial and if there's lightning nearby, you can hear the sound on the radio?

That's so annoying!  Fortunately, the only radio station I ever listen to is NPR, and that's on FM.  :)
