63º and sunny with winds out of the northwest at 22 miles an hour. Today's high got up to about 72º  B) :happy:

Some models want to deluge our area with tons of precip this weekend, PW's up to 2.25" on some, rainfall amounts as high as 1/2'.

We had a really good tropical downpour the past hour, I suspect Flash Flood Warnings will be issued here very soon if you look at the radar below. The rain is nearly stationary.

A total of 2.50" of rain has fallen here just today as of 2 PM EDT, and some isolated amounts of 5-6" were reported along the Blue Ridge.  A flood watch is in effect until 9 PM EDT tomorrow.  So much for getting a break in the weather. :(

The rain from Tropical Storm Andrea has ended (at least for now) in Daytona Beach, the sun is coming out, and the temperature's climbed from the mid 70s to near 80°.

While I'm not, the Blacksburg county warning area overall sure is flood prone.  We had reports of flash flooding and roads washed out last night in southwest VA.

63° Heavy Rain

2.20" of rain had fallen at PHL through 5pm today and it's still coming down. We have already broken the old daily record of 1.79" set in 1904. The total for the month as of 5pm is now 3.27" (+2.41").

Flood warning is in effect for the creek that runs through my area as it's expected to rise two feet above flood stage.
