52°F Cloudy

It's a mess in my area.  Blacksburg has received 1.22" of rain so far from this cut off low, but some places have had over 4" of rain in the mountains to the southwest.  In addition to flood warnings, there was even some severe weather with verifying hail reports in North Carolina.

44°F Fog

More rain and thunderstorms with flooding and severe weather issues galore occurred today as the cut off low is spinning directly overhead.  Blacksburg's total rainfall from the past 48 hours is 2.14", and it may not be done with more rain expected tomorrow before the low finally leaves.  My spirits are certainly low right now due to the hectic evening shifts I've worked with overtime.

According to the Mesonet, an 11-degree temperature drop occurred within 5 minutes.  Not too bad, not too bad... :P

I could use some of that water. It's been rather dry and warm here in the Pacific Northwest for the past week and a half. If only there was a hose big enough to shoot water all the way from 3000 miles away, then I bet you could the job in no time  :P

56° Clear and Windy

Exams were done and I was promptly greeted with dirt getting blown into my face. Gusts to 45 mph have been reported today.

High of 59 on Sunday followed by 82 on Monday. Gonna be a fun week!

58°F Fog

More rain fell from a thunderstorm passing overhead this evening.  Blacksburg will end up over 5" above normal for this year so far once the exact amount is computed in the morning.  Anyone want more free water?
