Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

Sorry, Mac.  I'm afraid you may have to wait until May before spring finally arrives in the Dakotas.

54.5°F Fair

We've haven't seen much of spring either. We've had one warm spell, one day in the 80's, and one day in the 70's (which was quickly shot down after the sea breeze kicked in). A little warm up this week, but on shore flow for most of the days will keep us mostly cloudy and in the 60's. Pat is right, we may not see any real spring until May. Models continue to show cool air over the east and a ridge and warmth over the west through early May.
