Maxed out at 60°F today warmest in the whole state, would have been warmer if skies cleared. No records were broken.

Really cold air moves in next week - preliminary forecast for MLK Day (21st) is Mostly Sunny with a high of -10. Forecast low could get down to -25, not counting wind chill.  :brr:

Stay safe and warm, looks like it's gonna be pretty rough.

It's 54 here with light rain. A Flood Watch is in effect until Wed. Morning here.

As a sidenote, this is a very dynamic ULL so far. I checked the obs for Dallas Int'l/Love Field and both reported Thundersnow earlier this morning. :thrilled:

It seems I've been missing out on the dangerous weather lately. Its currently 60 and mostly clear. The past few days have been extremely warm for January, but that changes soon. The upper 70s have been nice while it lasted, but today is the last day in this 'heatwave.'

Although Long Beach nor Astoria are affected, areas to my east (basically the I-5 corridor from Seattle down to Eugene, Oregon) are under an air stagnation advisory :o

The past 72 hours has given me 3.42" of rain, and now more rain that will change over to 4-6" of wet snow is coming tomorrow.  A winter storm warning is in effect from 12 PM EST on Thursday to 1 AM EST on Friday.

When I left for a morning college class around 8am, it was 53 degrees so it has dropped 8 degrees over the past 5 hours (half of that within the past hour)
