89.3°F Partly Cloudy
Dew Point: 72.0°F
Heat Index: 97.1°F

Very surprised at the airport obs at KISP, 85°F Overcast, but there isn't many clouds when I look in towards the direction of the airport, furthermore, we usually don't get temps that warm when it's overcast.

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

69 with a severe thunderstorm. Was caught out in the road with quarter-sized hail and very gusty winds. The entire city of Grand Forks was out of power until a few minutes ago. A severe thunderstorm warning remains in effect until 1:15 AM CDT.

73, Cloudy and Humid

Question: Is this rain band one of the rain bands detached from Isaac? There's supposed to be a cold front moving through our area (I believe it's supposed to stall once it's here) that is expected to enhance rainfall directly related to Isaac.

The cold front is still slowly moving into my area at this time, so it's really a pre-frontal rain band that is being fueled by Isaac's tropical moisture.

Currently in Blacksburg, VA:  81°F Mostly Cloudy

78.1° w/Heavy Rain showers. Have been under flood advisories (warnings) until the past few minutes. The city of Charleston is flooding majorly in some areas this afternoon b/c the heavy rainfall that has fallen today. About 8" for the city, which is much more than it can handle.

Pictures from news media in the area of the flooding. http://www2.counton2.com/news/2012/aug/28/photos-you-2-viewers-capturing-lowcountry-flooding-ar-4430590/

Sorry for the double post.

73.3° w/Mostly Cloudy conditions.

Getting a break here this morning, I can drive to school without having to deal with the rain. Today the rain chances have been decreased from 70% to 60%, so less rain expected than in day's past. A break looks to come in late week with Mostly Sunny forecasted. Temps are in the 85 zone today and tomorrow, then we dry out for the early weekend and reach the low 90's (hopefully those will become 80's). Then a few shower chances through next week. Not bad.

81 Cloudy, this has been the weather most of this week. We've only seen a little bit of sunshine in the very latter portion of the day. August overall hasn't been as hot or sunny as it usually is, we've even had quite a few foggy days this month. I hope September is only going to be cooler and wetter from here.

91.1°F Sunny

The sea breeze front came through just before 1PM, jacked up the dew point a full 10 degrees into the low 70's, now the front is retreating and the dew point is slowly dropping. Temps are holding steady in the low 90's even with the sea breeze. Hoping for another pass of the sea breeze front to jack up the humidity.

68°F Cloudy

0.46" of rain fell today from a thunderstorm, and there will be plenty more in the next few days.
