Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

71°F Cloudy with a Thunderstorm

It's not raining, but it's technically a thunderstorm as I can hear thunder.

I was wondering what those flashes of light were in the distance. A pop-up thunderstorm in less than 10 minutes.

56°F Thunderstorm

EDIT: These strong storms stayed mainly to the south of my location, but they sure did put on a good light show :)

52°F Mostly Clear

March 2012 is going to become the warmest March ever recorded in my area as the average temperature so far this month is at least 2 degrees higher than the one that will soon be in second place.

56.5°F Sunny

Even though the period of record my area is small, it's going to shatter the warmest March on record. Tomorrow's forecast may bring it down a little with a high of 44 with rain.

62°F Cloudy

Blacksburg's average temperature for the entire month of March was 51.6°F, which is the warmest average temperature of any March recorded.  The normal average temperature for any March is 41.6°F, so March 2012 was 10°F above normal.

60.3°F Sunny/Windy

RH: 18%

They aren't going to issue a red flag warning because the soil moisture has increased due to recent rainfall, but they have issued a red flag warning for eastern Long Island.

EDIT: We are now under a Fire Weather Watch for tomorrow, (My B-day), but not for today.
