We need the rain but not all of this at once

Sorry for going way off topic, but looks like you made the same thread twice. lol
Anyways, Lucky you for getting that much rain. Since most of you guys are under a drought, looks like the rain that's coming will take care of that.

I've fixed it.
Unfortunately, it's so rare to have normalcy it seems with the weather. You either live on one extreme (drought) or swing to the other extreme (flood) and go back and forth like a pendulum. The rain will help somewhat, but if it falls too fast, it'll just run off and not get absorbed into the soil. You need a good slow and soaking rain to cure a drought, and I know a few areas that will still need much more after this storm passes.

We still need more rain here in Alabama. We got some good totals this past week. Our next oppurtuninty is the middle of next week. We are also in what we call our "secondary" tornado season. Not many places in the country have 2 distinct tornado seasons. I'll be glad to get more rain. :)

It's kind of crazy (and almost annoying for me) how Texas had a couple of tropical systems sweep across and yet most of the state is still in a drought. It's almost like there was all that rain for nothing...I know it's not good to get all of it at once, but it still seems frustrating.

On the bright side it looks like Hawaii is doing a lot better
