Title: NOAA Weather Radios
Post by: beanboy89 on March 02, 2008, 11:28:44 PM
I'm thinking about getting a Weather Radio so I can be alerted to severe weather watches and warnings in my area. Does anyone have a weather radio or have any recommendations of what to look for in a weather radio? Thanks.

Roland, I can't believe you bumped a thread that's over 5 months old just to say that.  :club:

That's fine, as long as you have something worthwhile to add. I wouldn't call what you added worthwhile, pertinent, or necessary in any way.  ;)

I have a scanner which includes the NOAA channels. It even sounds a tone when a warning has gone into effect!

Thanks for sharing that. Please don't forget to share the next time you're about to buy toilet paper, or diapers, or maxi pads. Knowing the things you should buy, or are about to buy turns me on. :whistling:

I do have a NOAA Weather Radio at home, though I'll probably get a newer one in the future. My best bet would be to get one from the Midland series.

Had now for nine months.  Good reception, loud alerts.
