Yep. We're actually getting out a week earlier this year than we did last year because they took away some of the breaks we'd normally get off for in the spring (like President's Day, Good Friday, etc.), thus making the semester shorter.
-
Possibly today.

Aren't his posts usually like that?

I get out June 9.
I have a final for Writing Fundamentals, 2nd semester on June 8, then I have three finals (yes, three) for Astronomy, Math-2nd, and Reading-2nd on June 9. After that I have week off, and on June 22, I go back for summer school.
-
We get out May 27th...would have been 22nd but apparently ice storms love hitting the southern Ozarks. So May 27th is REALLY late for us...we've never, ever gotten past Memorial Day since I've been in school.

We always go back two days after Labor Day, thus we go back September 9 next year. I don't understand how many schools start in August. It's still hot that month (many schools aren't even airconditioned), and summer doesn't "unofficially" end until Labor Day. IMO, all schools shouldn't start until after Labor Day.

I agree, We been going to school in August since I was in kindergarten, there was a time when my older sister was in school and the school year didn't start until September, they would rather continue to shorten our break year after year than to do that again.

June 14 but we stop working really after May
-
Back when I was living in Crofton, we got out, in May. Last week in May. We had to work all the way till the final bell. So, if you are thinking about going to a Catholic school in Crofton, think again. None of that "We stop working though after May" bologna. If you stop working after may, even after EOYs, you will fail.
In Newfoundland, we began in September and ended in June. In Puerto Rico, we began in August and ended in May.
But now since I am in Grad school, We have 19 weeks in class. Some areas are too docile, and some areas are too pedantic. Crofton Catholic was just right.
-
Well I am in most AP classes. Our exams for the class are this week and the AP exams are in the next few weeks. After that we coast through.
-
So the AP classes basically nothing during the last 2-3 weeks?

In a sense. We prepare the entire year for the A.P. test which is in about a 1-2 weeks depending on the class. Most teachers give a practice A.P. exam that counts as your final exam. The last part of the year is a lot more relaxed since there isn't a rush to get through content for the AP exam
-
I get out on May 28th and then go back on August 24th.
-
June 1st, graduate June 5th :D (after finals and all that jazz, which, as of now, NO FINALS!!)
The undergrads have to go til June 9th because of "cold days"
-
June 4th for me. In response to Mike's statement, I would rather start earlier and end earlier. Snd since the schools have air down here, I don't care about the warmth. :P
-
Possibly today.
You raising hell and they suspended you for the rest of the year?
-
I get out on June 12. I start school on August 12. I know, short summer. The school board pushed back the start of the school year one week so the 1st semester would end come winter break.
-
We end June 5th and start September 8th
However, this may mean I have school on my 17th birthday in 2010 for the first time school has ever been on my birthday
-
I end my classes Thursday May 7th but finals go until Friday, May 14th
Also i start my third college semester of four September 8th
