...if you were invited to visit a person for four days, but told you have to bring your own food? :dunno:

I love that show

Am I missing something?

A) I don't know if you are being serious or not. If they ask you to bring your own food maybe the person is a vegetarian and cannot get near meat products and at the same time they don't want to disrespect the guest so they ask you to bring your food. That's just one possible scenario. It's not worth its own topic IMO and should be moved to the Front Porch.
B) Because of the topic title, I thought you were talking about the show on ABC Primetime. Google is your friend :)

That's not Victor's call to make. It's a moderator's job like me to make that decision. I don't really see a problem with this topic being by itself if it's focused and gets enough interest. Could you explain more about the source of the idea that led you to creating this topic? Maybe that would help everyone as I find it vague as well when I try to understand it.

To answer your question, it depends. Are you going to be staying with this person during that 4 day visit or in a hotel?

Ahh, mini-modding. good times, goooood times.
anyways, I'd bring the food, obviously. If it's for a 4 day party, then ask them what they want. If it's a 4-day survival trip, then...uhh, that'd be kinda awkward. lol. Still, bring the food.

Basically, I found myself with four consecutive days off next week, which never happens. My aunt invited me to spend that time at her house, since, even though we live only two towns away, we hardly ever see each other because my work schedule is so busy. However, because she's on a diet and strictly sticking to it, she said she wouldn't be buying much of any food that isn't normally a part of her diet, so it would be up to me to bring my own supply of food for four days.
To me, that just seemed, before anything, just bizarre. What kind of host invites you but orders you to feed yourself?
