Weather Channel founder says global warming is a hoax

I can't find a single link between any warming that may have occurred and the activities of mankind.
- John Coleman, KUSI
St. Paul, Minn. — The debate has been quite heated recently over global warming - no pun intended.
John Coleman, the founder of The Weather Channel, says that climate change is a hoax and he's critical of the media for fostering what he thinks is a scam. Meanwhile, scientists with the IPCC are still sounding the alarm tht a warmer climate could mean the extinction of some species. Global warming from both sides
Though short, the article says that John Coleman, TWC's founder, feels that global warming is a hoax, and hints that apparently Coleman is pretty unhappy with all the hype about it.
-
Wow, he's the founder of TWC and yet they still are showing all this crap on the channel.
I thought Coleman was dead. But the ways he said about GW is true and harsh. It's not a scam but the media is too hyped about it and the public thinks the world is coming to an end.
-
He's not with TWC anymore, FYI. :sunglasses:
Here's another article. This one is an entire interview with Coleman. Pretty interesting stuff.

Nope, not with TWC anymore. He is with some station in Southern CA.
I think GW is somewhat real, but not as real as the media is saying it is

True. The media makes a big deal out of it
-
I was convinced that its not what its cracked up to be when I recalled an interesting fact I learned in my high school earth science class: CO is naturally occuring in our environment. If not for it, we'd freeze to death as it does act like a blanket. But not all CO stays in the atmosphere. Much of it filters out into space. In addition, plants and other living things also excrete CO, as much as we humans release into the atmosphere. When you put all these facts together it seems rather difficult to believe that the global warming issue is as severe as some (*cough* Cullen *cough*) would like us to believe.

We talked about this on TWCC a week or so ago. Remember?

Unfortunately that has no bearing on what I do here. I can't come to your forum, and thus can't see what goes on there. Not that I wouldn't have posted this article if I could.
-
I was just pointing out to Thunder that we discussed the article a while back. So I was confused as to why he'd be surprised about this.
-
Maybe he was just trying to give me the same attention that he gave you when you put the article up? Which, I must say, I respect much more than some who posts just to say that this was talked about on their site.

I could explain my post a third time, but I doubt that would do any good. :punish:
-
Your explanation is worthless IMO. There was no reason to even say anything about this being talked about on your forum. What goes on there has no bearing on what goes on here.
-
Didn't you have an entire thread (and at one point three threads) in my forum devoted to your site? Light up. <_<
-
I had one single thread, on your permission. I asked first, and you said it was ok. And I only did that because the site was fresh and I needed some way to begin getting the word out. Last I checked that's not a concern for you.
The only time there were multiple threads was when you convienently locked one for reasons that boggle the mind.

No, i never saw your thread Matt. Sorry.
Gary, i sincerely apologize if my post started this conflict
-
No Thunder, it isn't your fault. :sunglasses:
-
Well there's nothing in the rules thread about mentioning other sites in our posts. So how was I suppose to know that?
-
Is pulling things out of propotion a regular tactic you use? Sure seems like it.
I never said you couldn't mention your site. Just don't do it to put mine in a negative light. Again though, why your so dead set on mentioning your site is beyond me. It serves you no purpose whatsoever. Your more insistent about it than I, and it actually DOES serve some purpose for me. :dunno:
-
In speech class, I am doing a speech about both sides of Global Warming..and I can't me more stoked :P
-
I never said you couldn't mention your site. Just don't do it to put mine in a negative light.
How does what I said here put your site in a negative light?

"We already talked about this on my site. Don't you remember?"
Now, say your visiting the site for the first time and you see that. It doesn't exactly reek of positivity, does it?
I'm not explaining this quite as clearly as I'd like, but you get the idea. And surely others here see what I'm getting at too.

Okay, I get it now. My bad. :sunglasses:
