Does NOAA have a site (similar to the link below) where you download individual radar frames without "the ring" (don't know the technical term for it) cutting off what's outside of that ringed area?

Are you looking for radar mosaics?

I normally use this link for downloading radar data though they're not mosaics: http://motherlode.ucar.edu:8080/thredds/idd/radars.html

Long Island, August-September 2012 tornadoes, Hurricane Sandy, Blizzard of 2013, how many places on Earth do you know can get all 3 of those events within a 6 month period?

Yes.

Also, not gonna lie, that site is confusing for me to navigate through.

Have you tried downloading radar data from multiple sites then loading them together?

I don't really know much about compiling mosaics.

N0R is the legacy reflectivity product that is limited to 124 miles from the radar site. NOZ goes out to 248 miles, but is lower resolution.

Iowa State offers single site images in the newer 8-bit/256 color format (which by default is full range).

The product you'll want is called N0Q.

I checked the Ridge 2 directories on the NWS website, but the single site ones are empty.

Then there's mosaic images.

I had this same problem which is part of the reason why I addressed this question.

Thanks a lot for the links, I really appreciate it!
