OK, so all this copyrighted stuff seems like a big issue lately. People's accounts are getting strikes, closed, etc... Are companies creating stricter rules, is YouTube really starting to crack down, or are people just oblivious to these copyright rules? :dunno: Not to be rude, but I don't understand what's so hard about it.

It's not always the companies its more like the artists targeting people for using their music in playlist test clips and emulations.

The economy. People (artists) are more than ever hungry for money, so they will do whatever they can to make a profit in these times

Alex, how many videos did your channel have? If you had a ton of emulations and LOT8 videos with music on them, Youtube probably had a good reason to knock the account out. Multiple 3rd party copyright violations almost took me down on Youtube, before I deleted a lot of my videos.
Tiddlywinks.

No, trust my words - my account was suspended for the same reason last month.

Hey guys! I have been lovingly watching these past few days but lurking since I didn't have too much time. I've been busy with mid-terms, doctor appointments, projects, Irene cleanup/fixing (STILL!!!) and more. :P I found out I had a back injury from swimming years ago that has gotten worse so I am going to a chiropractor multiple times a week for it. Not a big deal but time consuming.

One exciting thing for me anyways is that I leave tomorrow to go to the National Weather Association Conference in Birmingham, AL until Tuesday. Looking forward to being with a whole bunch of weather geeks :D :D

I second Patrick. Have a great time, Martin! (And I hope that back back pain goes away soon).

I'm jealous, Martin. If I was back home, I would definitely be going there as well.

Ironically, as Martin and Curt say hello, I'll be gone the weekend after next, as I will be heading down to Minneapolis for the weekend before the notorious Northern Plain winter renders any travel impossible (that might be a slight exaggeration). Anyone got any ideas of what to see down there besides the Mall of America?

I'm going to Las Vegas for winter break. Anyone know how the weather is like down at Sin City during that time? I would hope the heat is not too unbearable.

Also, remember I said I was failing my exams? Well, my sociology professor gave a HUGE curve. Huge, as in 30 points, so now my 58 on the sociology midterm has gone up to an 88.

I know this is random, but I find it funny how you're able to say you're heading down to Minneapolis. For me, it would be WAY UP. :P

Congratuations, Vic! Hopefully this should relieve some of your stress.

Seems I'm having the same problems as everybody else. I don't really get it much on big tests, but it's the little quizzes I have to worry about. I have many 40's and 50's because of test anxiety - I just blackout on all the info I know. I got an 80 on a spelling/vocab quiz because I blacked out on one answer, which consequently led to three others. My teachers are of no help, our principal is being a flake right now, and my mom has helped me as much as she can. I've been anxious and nervous for my whole life - I think I was born anxious (joke).

Aside from school, I'm excited to announce that tomorrow will officially be the opening of our winter division - taking the same place of the tropics. We are making a new subdomain (winter.skywarnal.com), as well. We so far have two forecasters (myself and Ben Appleby, the Office Coordinator of West Central ALWX). We're trying to recruit some people to write for different divisions, so that means we only need about three more people, considering we only are writing for the 48 State CONUS. If you are interested, email me here or here.

Finally, I have a new small emulation I'm announcing that will only be a one-time effort. Afterwards, I'm working on the big one for winter. Anyone have location suggestions or emulation ideas? I'll be accepting these until November 1.
