It's possible, since we are in an El Nino pattern and is expected to stay that way throughout this winter, it usually means colder and wetter conditions in the South stronger El Ninos are a little different though, they're usually act similar to La Ninas. I knew an El Nino was developing this year because the signs were there, it has been very wet this year compared to the last couple of years, it has been much cooler right now than this time last year, the last day of August and first day of September is forecasted to be in the 70's and lows in the 50's! That's very unusual for late summer, if we managed to get into the mid to low 50's this week were gonna break century old records from the 1880's. I also noticed that el ninos tend to bring more icestorms and occasionally snowstorms to my area. The worst icestorms we had this century have been in Jan 2000 and Jan 2005 during el nino winters.
The 2004-05 winter was not an El Nino winter. 2006-2007 was. The 04-05 winter brought the highest season total since I have been alive, over 73 inches. 06-07 was an AWFUL winter. 31 inches the whole season which would be the lowest, and it was awfully mild. Due to that, I am out of habit assuming this will be an awful winter. I don't know, anything's possible, hopefully I am wrong with my assumption there. We are looking at the possibility of 30's tomorrow night and possibly Monday nite as well. Nearly unprecedented here too.

I need to look that up because I'm pretty sure there was a weak el nino event for the winter of 2004-2005. I know there was one in 2006-2007. I have a gut feeling more than anything that we will have an icestorm threat more than a snowstorm threat here in the Southeast, because the cool weather for this early September reminds me of September 2004 when we were in the 70's then too.

Aaron and Tavores, both the winters of 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 were El Nino winters.  The 2004-2005 El Nino was weaker than the one in 2006-2007, but both show up in the climate records.  I have provided two links below that show the El Nino and La Nina trends since 1950.

hey guys, so you may have noticed that i'm not on as often as I use to, and even then it wasn't often. lol

but college has been a blast so far, i've meet so many amazing people that I now call my friends, it's great -- wonderful experience and the course work is fair.

i hope to continue coming here through college, but if there is ever a time that I disappear, it won't be for long.  B)

Here's my Universities' speed test...

Not as fast as Ana's or, the Apple Store  :thrilled: Apparently each Apple Store has a DS3 line that costs approximately $5,000/month/store. Imagine, 263 stores * 5,000/month = 1.3 million/month just in internet access!!  :faint:

If is is true, though, then :faints:
