Radar RSS Feed
« on: August 16, 2011, 11:52:57 AM »
I've been searching and searching. Does anyone know of a website that provides an RSS feed with the current radar, even nationally? I know weather.com has an RSS feed that will give you a link to the webpage for a radar. I'm looking for something similar to the RSS feeds the SPC & NHC use that will actually embed the picture of the radar with the RSS feed.

I just started using a gadget for Win7 that is called Visual News (have to pay for it) that displays any images embedded in an RSS feed with a scroll at the bottom of it with the text that goes with it. I can't find any sites that provide a radar with the RSS feed. Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Do you happen to know how I could write an RSS feed though? I would like to help for sure  I have my own radar image source here, but its essentially a raw image of the NWS radar composite being placed on a map http://zach.dyndns-work.com:53205/radar/national_radar.htm

Why did your site link make my Internet Explorer & McAfee go crazy and say, "McAfee TrustedSource web reputation analysis found potential security risks with this site. Use with extreme caution." ? ? ?

Oh McAfee  its likely the factor that it looks at the host dyndns-work.com and not the included prefix of zach.dyndns-work.com.. but I dont think i would have malicious things on my server.... :noexpression:

Just wondering. I don't know how to create RSS feeds, though there are RSS feed builder sites like pipes.yahoo.com.

I've had absolutely no luck on this. I even tried creating my own RSS feed with no luck. Anybody know a site that has RSS feeds for weather maps at all?  :hmm:
