... and they won't spend more than 10 seconds viewing their weather when they watch Weatherscan.

Exactly. Though, they could reach a LOT more people if they were on Analog, and not only digital.

Most people I know get the weather from local news stations. :(

I've heard that it IS on analog in some locations.

1-5 locations is not enough to make any argument. They should put ALL WeatherScans on analog. It would reach a lot more people.

Gary, I know nothing huge will happen. I've been saying that from the beginning. However, to *most* people, the discontinuation of Weatherscan wouldn't even make them blink. It's ratings are rather poor.

Its not meant to be a ratings puller. You watch it for 5 minutes when you need the weather.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in what I meant. By ratings, I really meant to say, most people don't know what Weatherscan is, or that it's even affiliated with TWC. That's why in 2005, TWC tried promoting it on the domestic TWC with localized spots (with cable co name and channel number), but they were discontinued shortly thereafter due to timing errors.

Weatherscan isn't really known to most people, even for just a moment or two of viewing. This is why so many cable companies are dropping it, or moving it to a higher tier.

How do you know all this? It seems to me your dealing 100% in speculation and/or opinion.

I know what he is saying are true facts, but how he does, I'd rather not say...

What do you mean by "timing errors" Tyler? Do you mean they weren't appearing during the right time - during the BWTL promo that everyone else sees before an OCM segment?

Glad someone agrees with me here.

Mike, if you can't defend yourself, don't try. Don't refute me without offering something of a reason.

Thanks for believing me, Mike.

Gary, Kyle, we all know I do occasionally talk to a few select folks at the STAR Team. They are my information source. So if you're calling me a liar, you're essentially calling them liars too, neither of which I appreciate. I'll say nothing more, because obviously my contributions to this thread aren't welcome.

Yes, during the BWTL promos. The Weatherscan spot would either end the local early, have the Weatherscan spot play with local music behind it, and then viewers would see the end of the BWTL spot; OR it would start late, causing the spot to continue late over national programming.

It's not that your contributions aren't welcome, its your know everything attitude that isn't welcome. I run the show here, yet I keep getting overshadowed by the guy form the other forum who has inside sources that I can't get. It would be fabulous if I could find a source of insider information. I run a current TWC forum for the love of God. I should be the second most informed person here. But for some reaosn the dopes at TWC think a classic TWC board is serving their purposes. If it is great. But wouldn't a current TWC board serve them too? If not better?

It's all greek to me, I swear.

Alright, you and I have been through this before, and I'm not going through it again. They are satisfied at TWCC, and don't have a need to branch out elsewhere. It's that simple. And if you want to act jealous and childish, well I can't help you. :bang:

No Tyler, I'm not acting jealous and childish. You seem to think you have to come here each day and flaunt your insider secrets (or rather perhaps the fact that you have them). They do have a need to branch out. To reach a segment of viewers GEARED DIRECTLY AT THEM.

If you want to share details with us, and not just the fact that your priveleged, that's different. But quit coming here and pronouncing to us all how you have sources and you can't go into details.

But, I did go into details, several of them. You're just trying to find things to blame on me...
