Even now, well this is the second time my iPod is facing this type of problem:

After I played a song on it, my iPod's Menu, track skipping, and play/pause control do not work when I click it. Only the hold button and the scroller works, otherwise nothing else works

Also I need help on this:

1) When I connect my iPod to the computer, it connects to iTunes, and all the songs show on it. How do I keep the songs from my iPod to my library even if my iPod is disconnected?

2) How can I fix the above problem as mentioned?

Try hitting sync Ipod in iTunes.

Well, are you sure that will work to avoid my songs from getting erased?

Try erasing the iPod and reseting it. As long as you have it synced you wont loose any data since its all on your computer

You may want to restore your iPod to it's default. Then try readding your songs.

Well I got it fixed, just talked to a technician, needed to press the menu + center button together, things worked out.

Well, I have iTunes 8, and have a question, if I want all the songs from my iPod to my computer, how can I make sure it's kept in my library even if my iPod is disconnected?

You can't unless the songs are in your computer....otherwise your best bet is to record the songs on audacity from your iPod to your computer's microphone. And stop sending me PMs to come to Google Talk, if you don't see me on Gtalk or AIM, it's for a valid reason...

Your ipod stores the tracks in a hidden folder. You can pull those tracks by accessing the drive that appears when you plug your device in to your WINDOWS computer.

You can do it on a Mac as well but it's just harder to show hidden files. You have to know the terminal command...

write defaults com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE <enter>
killall Finder <enter>
