Title: Internet Meltdown?

At 5PM this evening, Facebook has become inaccessible. So I went and checked the website Down Right Now (http://www.downrightnow.com) to find out what's going on. That too has been inaccessible (You know there's trouble on the web when Downrightnow.com is literally Down Right Now. When I finally accessed the site a few moments ago, I saw that Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Gmail, and Hotmail has been having service trouble this evening. (Most of the status messages read "Likely Service Disruption")

Is the internet having a meltdown?

Could have been a regional issue. I didn't notice any issues here
