Title: If you thought TWC was bad with its LDA/LDL combo...
Post by: Spring Rubber on June 29, 2010, 08:14:47 PM
Check out Comcast SportsNet Chicago's morning design. Is the studio shot even 4:3? (Side note: doesn't the weather icon look WS 4000-esque?)

Bloomberg and Headline News had a similar design like this in the past. It's definitely an eyesore and yes that sun icon really does look like it's from the 4000 days.

I hate when there's so much clutter on the screen that you can't focus on one thing for long. Including weather and traffic conditions isn't very relevant for a cable sports channel.

The icon set can actually be downloaded here http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=weather+icon#/d33s1z (http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=weather+icon#/d33s1z)
The icon set seems to correspond in order of weather.com's icons.

And I found out I can get this channel as well. :P

There's a good bet the other CSNs use it - SNY (New York) maybe, Philly, Bay Area, New England...

Bloomberg's current design is actually really nice and clean.
