It will rise, yes.  But rising from $97 to $100 is the same as rising from $34 to $37, but when it reaches $100 it somehow has this extra hype.

gary i predicted $100 oil when i saw it hit $65 but it will drop soon because demand is dropping at a high rate and the economy is slowing very fast before our eyes

It won't drop at all if OPEC cuts back on production, as they are expected to.

Hmm?  I'm not saying $34/barrel is the same as $100/barrel.  I'm saying a change of a few dollars isn't going to make it that much higher than we've been seeing these last few months already.
