It used to be around $3.51 here, but it's dropped to around $3.25.

$2.48? That's surprising. Usually prices at the shore cost a lot more than in locations farther inland. I guess it's just like that during the summer when there's more people down there. The prices at the Garden State Parkway  rest areas are outrageous during the summer since they can't update the prices as often (it usually costs at least 20 cents more than gas stations located in side roads).

The Jersey Shore has the cheapest gas in the entire state. Yeah the GSP rest tops charge more since a majority of travelers are tourists

Over in Iowa they are down to as low as $2.80, here in Illinois, I've seen anywhere from $2.99-$3.09

Again?! As of Sunday, gas here was $2.77, but it's probably higher now.

I hope cold fusion is fully developed soon. If we keep using the oil we are using now, I have a feeling that the declining supply of it won't meet the global demand within the next decade.

It wouldn't rise very significantly.  If it's been $95, 96, 97 all along, $100 won't make much of a difference.
